On all the hookup sites, one is free to include HIV status in bios, and most also have different checklists where you can more or less disclose the same, and also search others with similar "pretences" or full out disclosure.

Of course these are mostly hookup for sex sites but.... whatever road gets you to your destination.

Also on hookup sites, all HIV- people do not automatically refuse HIV+ people, so it does put more fish in the pond.  Do you only want to date HIV+?   So many serodiscordant relations would suggest that HIV status is not a critical issue for some people.

Have you tried such sites and they weren't helpful?

You can check out HIVnet, or Positives Dating.  Although I'm not sure how much of a hookup site they are, when I was on I was looking at relationships not hooking up.

Good luck

While not official poz sites, I know there are many poz people on Grindr, Manhunt, and Adam4Adam.  Some have it listed in their profiles.  Others mention it later.  Of course, many believe they are neg, when they are poz.

But, you are looking for a specific poz site.  Poz Personals is the only site I am familiar with.  I created a profile on poz personals, looking for fellow poz friends in my area.  I've found there are several profiles, even for a small state like KY, but the vast majority are never online, and seem to never return to check mail.  Although, the filter says they have been on within the last three months, so maybe they are looking for love or hookups, and seeing just friends in my profile makes them skip to the next.  I've searched some other nearby states and found the same.

However, when we are in Florida, I get so many responses.  Of course, there are many more poz people there.  Miami and Key West were huge hotspots.  I couldn't keep up with the messages.  Do you live in a large city?

Admittedly not the easy choice for most, but I find that openly declaring my HIV-status in profiles brings plenty of eligible poz guys out of the woodwork, with the added bonus that it serves as a great filter for the neg guys who will freak at the very mention of HIV. Of course you also have to endure the occasional fantasist bug chaser (I say fantasist, because in my experience most of them are poz, but just but enjoy the online roleplay), but that's life.

In all seriousness, I've made many a good friendship – some with extended benefits and many looking for that elusive 'more', but settling for 'fun' in the meantime - through BBRT, so the types of sites mentioned by Miss Philicia aren't as crazy as you may at first think.
