Oral Sex
« on: October 06, 2012, 10:56:24 am »
I am worried.............
Last night I gave a guy blow job....was only for a couple of minutes. Didn't swallow any cum and no blood (that I know of).

However around 8 hours later I brushed my teeth and noticed a little blood while brushing. Then after no blood in the mouth.

So I don't know if the person was HIV +   -   But if he was could I catch it?

Thanks....

Bleeding Gums

I read that if you give someone a blow job and you have bleeding gums. If this person is HIV + then you will catch it.

But.....does the gums have to be bleeding at the time? I don't know if I have bleeding gums. I cleaned my teeth and saw a little blood hours after I gave him a blow job.

But days before I haven't had blood when I cleaned my teeth.

Another question......what is bleeding gums? Is this when your gums bleed for no reason, like without brushing?

For example, could I just of been brushing too hard? and I don't have bleeding gums because they don't bleed for no reason.

Paul.

Hi,

I have been reading about PEP.

I am worried I might be infected - gave a guy a blow job for a couple of minutes and ll hours after I cleaned my teeth and noticed blood.

This happened around 1am on Saturday.....and I can't get to a clinic until Monday morning - leaving it around 60 hours.

If they clinic give me this would it be effective??

Paul.

You don't need PEP. Your saliva has over a dozen elements and proteins which very effectively prevent you from acquiring HIV by giving oral to anyone.

Sexually the only confirmed risks for the sexual transmission of HIV are unprotected vaginal and anal intercourse. As long as you properly use condoms everytime for those activities you will be well protected.

Cut out worrying and get on with your life.

Paul,

I've merged your three threads into one thread - where you should post all your additional thoughts or questions. It helps us to help you when you keep everything in one thread. It doesn't matter how long it has been since you last posted in your thread or if the subject matter is different.

If you need help finding your thread when you come here, click on the "Show own posts" link under your name in the left-hand column of any forum page.

Please also read through the Welcome Thread so you can familiarize yourself with our Forum Posting Guidelines. Thank you for your cooperation.

I agree with Andy. You do NOT need PEP over this non-incident. You haven't had a risk.

Paul,

I have removed your PM privilege. We do not permit people to use PMs as a means of getting around paying a subscription for participation in the Am I Infected forum.

You are not permitted to use PMs to ask questions dealing with hiv transmission and/or testing anyway.

If you read the Welcome Thread before posting like you're supposed to, you will have read the following posting guideline:

Quote

Do NOT use Private Messages to question other members about any transmission, testing or symptom issues. These issues must be discussed in the public forum. Misuse of the PM function in this manner will result in your PM privileges being removed without warning.
