The drugs WILL stop working....really???

I was listening to a talk radio station in Toronto on December 1 and a researcher was on from the Univerity of Toronto. He was talking about the great progress made in treatment, ARV's etc and the n said ....BUT, they do not work forever, eventually they can't control the virus anymore and treatment failure occurs.....

Is this true?
I always thought that if one had an UD viral load, strictly adhered to meds and did not get reinfected that the drugs worked indefinitely. What's up?

Generally untrue, could be true in specific and interesting ways, one of which is most people ain't taken them for very long, and those who have prob took shit drugs at the beginning after being very ill, so how long, say, a modern 1st combo will work if you adhere consistently is unknown when considered as decades of treatment. Fail after 30 years of treatment in yer old age? We won't be doing ARVs by then.
