Quick question that I forgot to ask my Dr.
What do you think about swimming a day after having Anal warts removed surgically?
I just had them removed a few hours ago, no pain yet (crossing fingers)!
Many have spoke about taking baths to relieve the pain. Do we think a swimming pool would be ok? It is hotter than hell here in WI. 3rd day of 100+ degrees. I was looking forward to a dip in the pool tomorrow.
Thoughts?

Hi, ...
It seems to me, that after my exterior warts were removed, I was told to keep the area clean and "dry", and bandaged ( gauzed) for at least 2 days. Changing the gauze when necessary. I think swimming tomorrow is too soon. I ended up with the gauze on for at least 5 days.
No pain yet? Lucky you ! hope that continues for you !

Also wanted to add that at this point, you need to be careful of possible infection.
Swimming? :D I could barely walk for 3 days !
Take care and mend-----Ray

I live in San Francisco and had mine removed about 5 months ago. Swimming was never asked about or mentioned by Doctor or Nurse. Soaking was recommended to aid in the healing process and I don't recall anything written about the water temp so, I would consider the pool as a big bath tub and swim. 8) Have the best day

My thought is that I'll be amazed if you feel like going swimming the day after you've had surgery for anal warts. I suppose it depends on the type of surgery, and the number, size and location of the warts.
I understand it's hot, but, perhaps you could give your butt a break for a few days?

Would you want to swim in a pool with someone who had just had anal warts removed the day before?

Soaking in a hot bath is recommended as is helps blood flow and reduces pain. Not sure if jumping around in a cool pool will do the same thing.

Quick update: I didn't go swimming... ;D
That being said though, I have not been dealing with the pain that others commented about. The Dr. gave me some sort of local that lasted up to 3 days. I am just now starting to feel raw.
I didn't however expect recal incontinence. Went through 3 pair of underwear before getting to the store to purchase some Depends.

I must be missing something here. I have to ask what did you expect after having the equivalent of an ass abortion?

This would have made for a nice time in the pool for others.....

Why being so bitchy here?? I've had 3 rounds of anal wart surgery and never had any incontinence -- nor anything beyond some discomfort, that a hot soak helped. Well, the first shit was tough each time, but other than that, no big deal. Perhaps my doc was just better, or I have a higher pain threshold -- but the point is -- everyone's experience around surgery is their own.
So............ I suspect -- he was expecting whatever his doc told him.

3 rounds? I don't recall a gay bath house in Richmond when I went to college. Have things changed?

Did the first two teams they sent in go missing ? ;) .

No gay bath houses here (at least, none that I am aware of) -- the warts simply grew back (as warned was possible). Each time there were fewer -- in fact, only 1 internal one for the third round.

I don't recall any missing persons being reported -- however, I did get complemented on my ass by one nurse....... ;D

Must have been Stall #13 at Phoenix Rising adult bookshop, 19 N Belmont Ave in Carytown... or maybe that dumpy place across from Bill's BBQ on N. Boulevard right past Broad?

Thank you Mike, I thought I was the only one reading the bitchyness. So much for an accepting forum. (by some)
