« on: December 16, 2006, 10:08:53 pm »
Hi Everyone,

What do you all think about press for AMG 07?  The deadline for copy would not be until August 15th for the September issues, there is plenty of time.  Have the best day

Iggy,

Each month at the Sonoma County Commission on AIDS meeting, the state of the epidemic is announced by HIV Section Manager, Shari Brenner.  As of October 20, 2006, there have been 1923 AIDS cases reported in Sonoma County with 1112 deaths.  Over the past year, since the conversion to names-based reporting, there have been 68 new HIV cases reported, with 1 death.  In the past year 9 women who are HIV+ have given birth to HIV- babies, in Sonoma County.  These women planned families and intent to be there when those babies graduate from high school and dance at their weddings.

Of those 1112 AIDS deasths, the majority of those lived on the Russian River, left friends, family and neighbors.  Guerneville is a hate free community and the reporters from the two local papers will not be taking your picture or shoving microphones in your face.  Lois and Vesta may want to print something which focuses on our community being chosen for AMG 07.  Have the best day

Supporting You

Hey Michael...

Now, I have a clearer picture with this, they simply want to write a story on the event to publish in their Newspaper. No mics, no cameras, just plain old grab the yellow pad and start writting. Hmmm...A good idea.

The more exposure with the EFFORT the better.
