Licking a girl's vagina (for any length of time) and fingering her (for any length of time) is not at all an HIV risk. Please tell your son to wear a condom when having penetrative vaginal and/or anal sex and he will avoid HIV.

Also, please stress that other STDs can be passed through other activities, so he ought to get a complete STD panel done (including an HIV test of course) every six months so long as he is not in a mutually monogamous relationship. Its the responsible thing for him to do.

Good to see a father invested in the health of his son!

"Many people, especially in the gay community, turn to oral sex as a safer alternative in the age of AIDS. And with HIV rates rising, people need to remember that oral sex is safer sex. It's a reasonable alternative."

Thank You very much for all of the information, I Lost a good friend to AIDS in 1984. During the 80's myself and friends lived in the fast lane, Night clubbing all of the time and so many one night stands that I cant even remember them all. Thank God my son has more sense now at his age then I did in my 20's.   Take Care.
