Internet Down
« on: December 11, 2011, 12:05:15 pm »
Yesterday we had a total eclipse of the moon which was pretty spectacular except,,,

oddly, @noon my computer shut down and I could not connect.

I impatiently waited for about ten minutes and thinking something must be wrong with my connections, methodically, and with my hand held vac (boy it gets dusty around that hard drive) and..

still nothing...

So I then called the repair line...for ATT,

A computer generated voice kept informing me that I could go to my internet site and login...

I kept telling the 'voice' that I couldn't, because, I couldn't connect to the internet...

"I'm sorry, I didn't recognize that response"   I repeated it and kept repeating it :

Finally, it moved me to a 'live' operator, who introduced himself as 'Jerry' in a heavy Indian accent....

I rather loudly explained my predictament, and he said...he said.........he...said...

"I will need to run a few tests, if you will LOGIN, I can start....??"

...I hung up.

At 2am my computer sang it's "Welcome to Windows" jingle......no explanations fo it's naughtiness, no nada
