Please Help - Oral Question

Please help. 

In March I received unprotected oral sex.  In mid-may I started to have what I believed was allergies.  For several days, my nose began to run with clear mucous leaking out on a regular basis.  I also noticed my joints became mildly tight.  About a week later the mucous was thickened to a yellowish-green.  One night I developed a fever with chills and then symptoms seemed to disappear.

In mid-August I became very itchy, primarily in my torso, back, and groin for a couple of weeks.  I did not think much about it as I am very active and the itching generally occurred when I was hot, sweaty, or in the shower.  I also developed a strong case of jock itch.  The itching did quit towards the end of August/beginning of September

I never really thought much about these things until a month or so ago.  I now spend hours everyday on the internet reading articles about symptoms and scanning message boards.  I can't sleep right.  I can't concentrate at work.  I have extreme anxiety.  I've also been inspecting my body several times a day.  I swear I have had several new moles and cherry angiomas.  I also have had dry skin on my face, but I have had this before and I have changed climates and it is colder now.  My tongue is starting to look weird and I am terrified at any signs of a sore throat or stuffed/runny nose.  I am strongly considering going to get some medication to help with the anxiety.

Please help.

This has nothing to do with HIV. How about seeing your family doctor?

Getting a blowjob is NOT a risk for hiv infection, as saliva is NOT infectious. If this is the only type of sexual experience you've had, then you don't need to worry.

You need to be using condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, every time, no exceptions until such time as you are in a securely monogamous relationship where you have both tested for ALL STIs together. To agree to have unprotected intercourse is to consent to the possibility of being infected with a sexually transmitted infection.

Have a look through the condom and lube links in my signature line so you can use condoms with confidence.

While you certainly don't need to test over getting a blowjob, anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to hiv testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.

If you aren't already having regular, routine check-ups, now is the time to start. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine hiv tests to return with negative results. Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than hiv.

I just frind it so hard to believe that you cannot be infected via receiving oral sex.  No need to quote the studies as I have read the board here numerous times.

Is generalized itching that lasts 1-2 weeks a sign of infection?  Like I said, the itching occurred after sweating or while hot, mainly in the groin/torso area.

Also, is mucous/congestion common during seroconversion?  I've read articles that suggest both scenarios.

Go see your doctor about your itching and your mucus. Neither has anything to do with hiv infection.

Saliva is not infectious, therefore getting your dick sucked is not a risk for hiv infection.

And, if there were blood in the mouth while receiving oral sex, the belief is the enzymes in the salivia would kill the virus?  Correct?

Yes. Getting a blowjob is NOT a risk for hiv infection, no matter what sort of spin you can dream up to put on it. Not one person in over twenty five years of this pandemic has become infected through getting a blowjob and you will NOT be the first.

Is there any data on when a fever occurs during Seroconversion (Beginning or End)?

Is there any data in regards to how long this fever could last?  couple hours? one day? several days? a week?

You may "find it hard" to believe you can't be infected by receiving oral. That doesn't change the HIV science-based facts that no one has ever been infected that way.

So no matter what your mind is telling you to the contrary, have you actually gone to a doctor as has been suggested, and discussed the symptoms you're concerned about?

I've chickened out 3 times now to get tested.  I have another appointment tomorrow with a mental health professional that I am looking forward. I've also been prescribed some anxiety medicine that helps, but I am getting low and eagerly awaiting for a refill via mail.

I know one cannot diagnose by symptoms or the lack of symptoms, but this has gone from bad to worse.  I've had 3 mild flares of Seb Derm (self-diagnosed) over the past 2 months, that progressively get slightly worse each time.  Effected areas are cheeks, one eyebrow, behind one ear, and a slight bit on the chest.

Not only is the back of my tongue white, but "behind my tongue" is so swollen it doesn't even look like it should be in my mouth.  It looks like bumply, swollen flesh.

I also did a timeline from the time of the BJ to time of "symptoms".  It was about 6 weeks until mucous and tight joints, and 8 about weeks until my one night of fever.  That is obviously longer than the 2-4 weeks.

Could this be a combo of anxiety, depression, stress, a cold virus here or there, and psychosomatic illness?  Maybe, but this just isn't good any more.

Then go to your doctor. HIV is not a concern.

Does seroconversion cause ARS?  In other words is the change in status from - to + and the virus now in the system cause the immune response and potential ARS sickness?

From what I've read average time to seroconversion is 22 days and average time of ARS is 2-4 weeks.
