I do however remember this one from 1983.

Ann, you are doing nothing to encourage me to come visit you and your rock next NH summer.  :-\
I had to laugh here yesterday as 65 isn't really that cold, but so many people here were wearing trench coats and scarves or otherwise rugged up. I guess it's what you get used to. Ask Tim Horn - I was literally shivering when I caught up with him last year - it was about 60F.

Steve, if you're coming for a visit, I'll ask Manannán mac Lir himself to let the sun shine and warm the place up to Aussie standards. Just for you!  :-*

I kind of like dreary, rainy places.  I must own 5 different rain coats so I could feasibly use them all in one visit, right?

I dream of moving to the southern Oregon coast one day.

Hon, you're welcome to move here.  We hit a high on Monday of 10 C !  That's like what, 50 F?  And it has rained something like 8 of the 10 June days so far.  And it is supposed to be summer.

Oh, on second thought scratch Oregon -- wtf!  I'm buying a defunct coffee plantation in Jarabacoa and having this reasonably priced small modernist home constructed there:

Philly....

I'm really surprised you haven't mentioned the Mariel Boat People.  For those of you of another age and/or continent, back in 1980 Cuba was catching a lot of grief about human rights, freedoms, economic opportunities, yadda, yadda, yadda.  Fidel got fed up and opened the doors of the jails and the mental institutions and let out the inmates.  The  golden opportunities of America beckoned so they all sailed out of  Mariel Harbor to the golden shores of Miami.  But one man's freedom is another man's threat.   Soon these political refugees became illegal refugees

Eventually the Cubans made their away across this great country of ours.  I was living in Sacramento, CA at the the.  One night I walked into the local leather bar (The Wreck Room) and I was made (I'm an easy 'mark'.)  This "swarthy", lean, tall, dark  young man catches my eye and we start talking and drinking (I'm buying, of course.)  Before I know it, we're in the back room.  Eventually we make our way to my apartment, just around the corner on "I" St.  Great sex with no holds barred.

The next morning he was gone, the wallet was gone and lot of my clothes and food too. Oh well.  I had always wanted a  dark, hot Cuban and I got my wish.  That  wild Caribbean blood took hold and  I never complained.  An evening well spent.

Well, to honest in NYC there's not that many Cubans -- but they definitely feature in my past history.  Actually badly when it comes to HIV.  Ricardo was a brief lover around 1990 pre-diagnosis, and right when my lipo started to become obvious a decade later I ran into Ricardo out at a trendy club and he actually came up to me and blurts out "ARE YOU SICK???!!!???" -- that little fucker set me off and shook me from my apparent denial.  I became hyper aware of it and quickly became unglued and the result was many hours on the shrink's couch.

ugh... I just googled his name and he has a wikipedia entry (he's an artist/photographer).  One of our first dates he spent the entire time in a packed movie theater sticking his finger up my ass hole and then smelling it OVER AND OVER.  He was really twisted, and not in a good way.  I won't even go into why we broke up because it was so incredibly ludicrous.

Oh, and if you really want Cubans I highly recommend Club Body Center in Miami/Coral Gables. :)

Oh... and you know what.  Now that I'm in the internet age I love finding out that ex's lied to me about their age.  I mean, I know all queens are liars but Ricardo was 3 years older then me, not younger.  And now I just googled Alfredo (artist too -- very traceable bio information!), the Guatemalan and he's THIRTEEN years older than me.  No fucking way did he ever say that.

Having been in a relationship with a Cuban man for 16 years I can tell you they are strange, passionate and fascinating. Since I don't speak Spanish I have no idea what he's talking about half the time, but it only adds to the mystery! ;)

Hmm, is this thread about the weather or Philicia's spanish men? Well, nothing wrong with having some spice in your life and "we" spaniards are spicy and know how to turn up the heat.... :P As for weather, here in my quaint little town it has been in the upper 80's and even the 90's. I was given an AC thank the goddess because before that I felt like a runaway slave. For the most part it is hard to find an ac used or new because they are selling out faster than a fiend looking for some crack.

Can folks please stop dumping on chm02?  He fucked up, and apologized for it.  But now folks are just piling on.  I hate it when this place starts feeling like junior high school.  We're making fun of his blog pic?  Nice.

Yes, I know he was even less kind to Ann, but I was raised that two wrongs don't make a right.

My two cents.  I'm not speaking as a moderator, since no rules have been broken.  Just my two cents as a member here.

Truthfully, I think most of the people on this thread (including myself) were being sarcastic and were teasing in friendly manner. if Chm02 is hurt by this then he should let us know.

No harm meant at all.

I thought a Dirty Sanchez was when you fingered your lover's bunghole and then wiped the result under his (or indeed her) nose.
