Hi everyone, i know that sympoms is not the way to tell whether you have hiv or not, but i was just wondering if puss coming from the penis is a symptom of hiv or not?  my history is i had unprotected sex with a girl about 9 months ago.  i know that the sympomts are flu like symptoms, but i was just wondering if puss from the penis was as well.

and i read alot of people talking about ARS rash or soemthing.  what exactly is that?

thanks.

No a discharge of pus from the penis is not a symptom of HIV infection. Please read our Welcome Thread which will explain how HIV is and is not transmitted.

Along with reading the lesson as Matty has suggested, I also recommend that you see your doctor about the pus oozing frm yoru penis. Which by the way is not a symptom of HIV.

Too often people forget there are other STDs out there which are actually much easier to acquire than HIV. So get that checked out.

And at 13 weeks past the most recent unprotected incident you should have an HIV test.

You can have all the sex you want with various partners. Just do it the safer way by always, ALWAYS using a condom everytime. When you have unprotected intercourse you are putting your life at risk. It's as stark and as simple as that.

Cheers,
Good luck with your test and getting the other issue clarified and treated.

I have never seen anyone go 9 months with gonorrhea untreated. You would be screaming everytime you piss, if you could piss at all. More than likely it's an NSU.

Thanks for all your help guys.  i did do 3 HIV tests, one at 10 weeks, one t 18 weeks, and one at 6 1/2 month all coming backnegative.

Rapiddog, whats NSU?  i dont and never had any burning feeling while pissing.  the discharge only started like a week ago as well.  so what is NSU?
