This could be a fun thing to do...Years back I remember renting a moped and riding around the city. It is a great way to get to know the city.
It was specially fun going down Lombard St.

Moped rentals? Oh lord I don't know! I have a bad history with those darn things!
Last time we travelled to the coast we rented mopeds. There's a section of the beach where you're allowed to ride them.
It was a warm sunny day, beautiful calm water. Not a soul around. Just me and damn fool and some seagulls!
I'm tooling down the sandy beach, going full throttle, feeling the breeze on my face, smelling the ocean scent, loving every minute of it.
When suddenly--out of nowhere--this damn seagull takes flight and is coming right at me! :o
In my panic to stop, I put down my feet and stood up. But forgot to let go of the throttle. You guessed it. The moped rolled right out from underneath me and stood up on it's hind wheel (I was still gripping the handle bar remember).
The next thing I knew, the moped was in the ocean, I was laying on my butt, and the seagull circling overhead like some vulture! >:(
To this day I'm convinced that damn bird planned the whole thing.

I was drinking my coffee when I read Rab's repply and I laughed so hard I had coffee come out my nose.
