What is the Accuracy of P24 test in 5 days?

Hi All,

I met one guy he was from Nagpur in Bus in night ,when driver turned lights off he started to touch my body I refused.I first time,I am not gay, but he again and again done the same thing...I also starting responding(dont know but now i am thinking I was very stupid to act like that) ... I just touched his penis... he also touched mine ...But I ended by ejaculating so to collect the semen ,I have used my hand (that hand was initially on his penis,I think no pre cum was there on my hand).I was holding my penis for about 5 to 10 sec with all my semen in my hand only.later I have cleaned my hand by paper. He did not ejaculated...I am very frustrated with this thing I asked him he said don't worry Don't take tension???What should I do now ??i dont know whether he is Positive or not...I was not involved in any other sexual activity than this. After 5 days I went to To take HIV test And Reports were Negative they have used p24 test and used Tri DOT kit.In Report it is given that test may be repeated after 6 months ... I am very much Frustrated and can not concentrate on anything even cannot tell this to anyone...Please help me...Should I retest after one Month ? Also please Suggest the possibility of any STD or hiv infection from this incident ???I will never do this  mistake further in my life ...This was my first and last experience...please help me...

Hi Desh , mutual masturbation is not a risk for HIV and no one has EVER been infected the way you are concerned with . Its not low risk , its no risk .

HIV is transmitted sexually from unprotected vaginal or anal sex , so as long as you are using condoms for those activity's you will avoid HIV , its really that simple . If you had a risk , and you did not have one , the window period for testing is 6 weeks past any possible exposure and again at 3 months to confirm it The 6 month recommendation is outdated and not applicable anymore .   

If you aren't already having regular, routine check-ups, now is the time to start. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine hiv tests to return with negative results.

Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than hiv. Some of the other STIs can be present with no obvious symptoms, so the only way to know for sure is to test.

Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple!

So can I Conclude that after 5 days test is conclusive ?.I am testing after one Month just to relax myself...Also one more thing i want to ask.Somewhere I read that

For the possible HIV acquisition to take place, HIV+ bodily fluids (blood, pre-cum, semen, vaginal fluids, rectal secretions, breast milk) have to have direct access to the bloodstream.

I was having some cuts near my nails on my fingers(Those were Open dry cuts without any blood) during incident. Assuming his pre cum may have touched there. Is this a risk of contacting HIV....Please reply...

Dash , please read my earlier reply to you , you didn't have a risk and HIV inst EVER transmitted on fingers or secretions , its just not the way HIV is transmitted .

Once the HIV virus leaves the confine of the human body small changes in the atmosphere damage HIV instantly rendering it unable to infect . The only sexual risk for HIV are unprotected vaginal and anal intercourse and not sticky fingers .

If you haven't had unprotected vaginal or anal sex or shared IV drug injection equipment within 3 months of your HIV test then its accurate and you do not have HIV .

You also didn't seem to notice that I advised that had you indeed had a risk you must wait a minimum of 6 weeks to test and again at 3 months . Im telling you this so that you will know the facts if you ever find yourself in this situation again

I will always take care of my health after this and I will never perform any such stupid activities. In fact I am not involved in any risky behavior in my entire life till now.This is my first and last experience.I am just 24 year old. So I think I should trust on test. Just to relax my mind I will again get my test after one Month.But this is just to relax myself.

Your Welcome Desh . Your encounter you had was safe so you do not have to see it as a stupid mistake , it was just a hand-job and no big deal .

Its OK to move on , nobody in the history of HIV has ever been infected with HIV in the manner you are concerned about . If I were you I would forget about it and stop wasting money on HIV test that you do not need at this point . 

Enjoy your sex life and remember to consistently and correctly use condoms for vaginal and anal sex and you will not have to worry about HIV .
