Ok, I did it. Jumped off the lurking wagon, registered, and am posting all in the same day. Most excitement I've had in one day, in a looong time. I'm Fruitloop as you can see and yes, people do call me Fruitloop. I'm a 33 yr old chick and been + for almost 13 years. Been with my partner for 11 years raising our 6 kids. ( none biologically mine). Unfortunately in the middle of a split up (story for another day maybe).
Been lurkin through the forum for a few weeks and just wanted to do a quicky intro. Also, wanted to say it's refreshing to see the amount of support and caring that is shared between so many women.

I have to admit that when I approved your account yesterday, I was afraid you'd be one of the manic posters in the Am I Infected forum. ;D I'm so glad you're not! :)
Good to see you come out of the lurker's closet and I'm looking forward to hearing more from you.

FruitLoop...what a great name. In a home with six kids you've either served them, eaten them or felt as if you were one. Kudos to you for doing such a brave thing as to raise so many youngsters. Jumping off the lurkers wagon pales by comparison.
You'll enjoy the posts of Minismom (think I have that right). She, too, has a house full of children and many interesting tales.

Good night/morning (I'm a night shift worker, so I my noon is midnight and vice versa).
Lol. Been called many things in my life, even answered to some, but never a manic poster.
As far as Fruitloop, I've served them, eaten them and in general I am one. Actually my mom gave me that name when I was a kid and it stuck. She always said I was never quite right in the head and hoped I would grow out of it. But, I say, why change now? The kids are 12, 14, 16, 17, 19, and a newly turned 21 yr old. 5 boys and 1 girl. They were easier when they were youngsters. Now they are "teens". I have since called my parents and apologized for all the boneheaded crap I pulled as a teen. Karma sucks.
Anyway, tested + while in the Navy at the tender age of 20. At the time, you couldn't get booted for it. But, then a bill got slipped in with the budget plan for the year, Clinton signed it, and anyone + was then to be promptly discharged from any military service. Before Clinton could repel that particular bill (which he did eventually do), Navy put my butt on the curb after 3 years service and said "good luck".
Which I've had. Managed to stay off meds until a few months ago.
Well, gotta get. Time to go home to bed (get to leave early on Fridays). lol yup, been at work on the clock while writing. Thanks for the welcome! Have a great weekend!

Welcome Fruitloop! I hear you about the kids, although I don't have any teens yet. My kids are 11, 9, 8 1/2, nearly 7, 6 (3/29), and 5 (3/17) - 3 boys and 3 girls. I'm NOT looking forward to puberty.
I'd like to officially invite you over to our ladies' thread. It's a place to talk about our daily lives. It's also a really good place to get to know everyone. There's lots of us with kids of variious ages.
I look forward to hearing more from you.

Hi fruitloop...I to have been lurking. I am not sure how to jump in and get started in the conversations. I don't have any little ones anymore but I do have one son who has been great through all of this. I am 54 and have been POZ for 6 years. Five months ago I lost my husband he was POZ too. Now I am putting my life back together and just need a friend to talk to. Being lonely is a tough road to walk.

Sorry to hear about your husband. I understand what you mean about lonely is a tough road. As far as jumping in, I guess just throw a post in. That's what I did. Wish I had more time to write, but I have a crap load of work to get done in the next hour and 15 minutes, then it's home and to bed. Hope you have a great day.
