Absent minded start to Isentress - double dosed....
« on: July 03, 2010, 12:44:32 pm »
I took Isentress last night and double the dose, in the habit of taking two Prestizas
Then this morning I took two, again.  So doubled the dose?
Do I take none tonight and start again tomorrow morning?  Just the normal one pill, plus my truvada?

My doctor told me that if I screw up on dosing to just get back on schedule as soon as possible. I don't see Isentress listed in your post, have you been taking it long?

Started last night!  Just too tired to remember that its only 2 pills a day, not 4.  I thinK i will take the truvad tonight (its been 24hours since last) then go back tomorrow to normal - 1 Isentress in morning and another at night with truvada.

I don't think you can overdose (at least from 2x once) on these drugs.

If you took 2 Isentress last night and then 2 again this morning I would not take any tonight and then resume tomorrow morning.

The reasoning behind this is the fact that Isentress is likely to be approved for once a day dosing (2 pills once a day) and there are already people taking it that way (4 that I know of on this forum) and they are doing fine.

Hijack:

When I was in the docs office the other day I was reading "Plus Magazing"(I think), and it had an article stating that they were doing studies about once a day Prezista dosing versus twice a day (it may have came out of CROI), I think it also said it would reduce the Norivr to once a day also (when used with Prezista)..

HAs anyone heard this? it sounded like it may be a "done deal" in the near future.

I'll ty to find the article or info.

I think it's already a done deal.
