they sold out paddington to the corporate schmucks  :(

it is wrong, W . R. O. N. G.
although one is bit torn, as you say, with the issue of (smaller, but longstanding) loyalty to marmite, too (methinks they did this on purpose)

I have hidden my small paddington bear away from the telly, so he cannot be tainted by this nonsense

I agree with the bird - it tastes terrible!!!

Paddington needs some counselling to bring him to his senses and get him back onto marmalade

Paddington Bear changing from marmalade to Marmite?

Outrageous! I'm certain they won't put up with this sort of crap in Darkest Peru.

Marmite is either cool or  not cool..for me it's cool, weird, uniquely English, but cool, esp.on toast with scrambled eggs

But...Paddington..does not do, ahem, cheese and Marmite sandwiches << like ANYONE would esp. with Edam, which is not a cheese, more a by-product

Vegimite is a bastard right-on 1980s product that makes a bad lube choice, like carob (what's wrong with chocolate? it's plant based..)

Vegemite was first produced in 1923 as Pawill. It gained popular currency in Australia in 1932.

In case people are wondering, the cheese the socialist emo-haired bumboy refers to was named after Edward William Coon (who patented a method for fast maturation of cheese via high temperature and humidity) and is, to all intensive purpose, a kind of Cheddar (though authentic is not the word I would reach for)

the said cheese
