6 days ago I went to an asian massage parlor. After I recieved a 30 min massage she gave me a handjob. There was no vaginal or anal penetration but possible oral, I cant recall but I had my eyes closed. She used some sort of lube. She was fully clothed and I never touched her. I ejaculated and was cleaned up with a towel and tissue. When I got home and showered I noticed I had a current outbreak of genital herpes which I have had before. I have read the forums here and else where that mutual masterbation is low risk and hiv can only be transfered inside the body. 5 days after my groin lymph nodes are swollen, I have white spots in the back of my throat, no appatite and flush looking skin. Symtoms dont give an idication could be possible stress cause iam freaking out. I have been with the same woman for 6 years and both tested neg.
Questions
1. What is the possibiliity of contracting hiv through this act of masturbation with my open herpes sore.
2. If there was possible oral involved.
3. Could having the herpes outbreak cause more white blood cells to be at the surface place me at a higher risk for reception.
4. How long does hiv live outside the body and could during the hand job gotten forced in to the sore before it was killed?
I dont know what her satatus is figure hiv + and a did not look at her handsto see if there where any open wounds.

You didn't have a risk ... I will answer your questions under what I have quoted from you .

There is absolutely no risk for HIV and masturbation with herpes present .

Getting a BJ is not a risk .

No one has ever been infected with HIV from getting a hand job or a BJ and you wont be the first . The scant few reports of oral transmission of HIV was from giving BJ with horrible meth mouth and large oral wounds .

HIV cant live outside the human body and is instantly damaged and rendered unable ti infect . It poses no risk the instant its exposed to oxygen .

It would not matter if she did have HIV , it wasnt a risk . Here are the risk factors .

Sharing IV drug needles immediately after use.
Unprotected anal and vaginal sex.
Mother to child during or shortly after birth
Very specific healthcare situations.

Use condoms correctly and consistently for vaginal and anal sex and you will avoid HIV . its that simple .

You did not acquire an HIV infection in the manner you are concerned with so your symptoms are not HIV related , if they persist go see your doc and find out whats up because its not HIV .

The only risk in your encounter was for her , she was exposed to herpes . HIV cant live outside the human body and is instantly damaged and rendered unable ti infect . It poses no risk the instant its exposed to oxygen so even with your what ifs you had zero risk .

Anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to hiv testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.

If you aren't already having regular, routine check-ups, now is the time to start. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine hiv tests to return with negative results.

Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than hiv. Some of the other STIs can be present with no obvious symptoms, so the only way to know for sure is to test.

Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple!

Hiv can only be contracted inside the body or from iv drug use?  When you mentioned meth mouth and open sores of the mouth possible cases of oral hiv conception, is that normally to the person doing the sucking? It involved giving oral sex to a HIV positive man who had a high viral load and the person preforming the oral sex had horrible wounds in the mouth . Its important to know that these individuals also had other risk factors such as unprotected anal or vaginal sex and the possibility of oral transmission was further questioned and dubious .

There have been no fewer than three separate serodiscordant couples studies (where one person is HIV positive, the other negative.) These couples were tracked for three. five and ten years. The couples used condoms for penetrative vaginal and anal sex, but NO BARRIER at all for oral sex. Any kind of oral sex.

These studies yielded NO infections.   

If you had a risk , and you did not ... you can test 6 weeks past any unprotected vaginal or anal sex and again at 3 months to confirm the results . Since you didn't have a risk you can test today if you want to .

It never ceases to amaze me how people fret about being infected with hiv from NO HIV RISK situations, all the while blithely ignoring the fact that they may be transmitting their herpes virus to others. When you have an active herpes outbreak, you should not let it come into contact with other people. Keep your herpes to yourself!

You should NOT be having unprotected anal or vaginal intercourse - with anyone - until such time as you're in a securely monogamous relationship where you've BOTH tested for ALL sexually transmitted infections TOGETHER.

I hope you're not letting your girlfriend come into contact with your herpes blisters. Herpes is VERY easily transmitted. Talk to your doctor about the antiviral drug acyclovir. People who take daily acyclovir are much less likely to infect others.

My girl friend and I were tested and both carry hvs1 and 2. So unprotected sex up to my stupid mistake was ok between us. I was not thinking this was going to happen and that knowone would get in contact with my herpes when I went for the massage. I was relaxed and it happened. I know its not an excuse. But the hiv concern has gotten me sick with stress and all the what ifs that a person can find on the net. Some say yes its possible , some say no not a chance. Inside only, cannot live outside the body, some say for a short time. Im not eating, I missed work. My body aches from the anxiety. Jeff has already very thoroughly considered the details you provided and has assured you that you didn't have a risk. Your doubts and fears and anxiety don't change those details equalling NO RISK FOR HIV.

If you have the faintest douvt in your head, rational or not, about your HIV status, you need to think about having unprotected sex with your girlfriend.

Not because you have had a risk - you have NOT.

But because those doubts will kill your relationship if you forego condoms before YOU know to YOUR satisfaction.

Ask yourself what you would want her to do.

I had tested neg two months ago and did a oraquick oral test yesterday afternoon, also negative.  I have had no other exposure in that time except for the described above. I believe my symptoms are related to the anxiety of this whole situation. I have asked the question elsewhere and talked to several different states aid/hiv hotlines and everyone said it is a "no risk". Its hard for the thought to get out one's head. But guys are confident I have nothing to worry adout as far me recieving hiv transmission from the above post.

Nicky , you do not have HIV and you can put this to rest now . Use condoms for vaginal and anal sex correctly and you will not have an exposure to HIV .
