Small lump / knot
« on: January 25, 2010, 01:32:37 am »
Hi all,

Wonder if you might have any suggestions. My bf found a small lump / knot on the outside of his thigh. It is not in the groin but on the outside of the thigh below the hip bone making us think it is not a lymph node. It is the size of a pea and movable (slides about one inch up or down).

He is on combivir and reyataz, all successful according to latest tests.

We will try to see a doctor but we are just concerned. Has anyone had anything similar?

thanks a lot,
livingpos and partner

There are lymph nodes that run up near hips and not just in the groin area.  Below is a link to a body drawing of where all the lymph nodes are in the body.  I was surprised we have them near our elbows.

Well recently i had two small lumps removed...one on my arm and the other on my low back, they were small fatty tumors the only reason they took them out is one was in my low back and pinching a nerve... just have his doc look at it next time he goes... but it sounds like what i had... and the doc said it had nothing to do with hiv or my meds some people just get them....best of luck to you
I have HIV; it doesn't me;)
