Worried... razor cut, precum & brushing my teeth

Hi guys...  So last Friday, I met up with a guy on Craigslist. Initially, we were just planning to give each other a massage. We got too horny and he just started pointing and rubbing the head of his dick on my asshole, but he never put it in but he fingered me as well. I also gave him oral but not for very long. It was a very very short oral. What threatens me is that when he was behind me rubbing his dick and playing with my ass, I felt his precum around my ass. He said it was safe. After the sex, I felt that I have a razor cut from shaving my ass hairs a few mins before the sex. So I'm worried that I'm probably at risk because the precum might've went on the razor cut. He said he's clean & negative but I can't really take his words since he's a stranger and I know that usually if someone is newly infected, if they get tested, the result will still say negative. The next day the lining of my upper lips felt very dry & weird. Then, last Monday night (3 days later) I started coughing but it wasn't severe and it only lasted for half an hour. It tamed down & I was able to sleep and spit out a phlegm the next morning and felt better. Then last night, it happened again but coughing wasn't as bad, it was more forced because I felt like I needed to cough because I felt so short of breath. I'm starting to think that I have asthma or bronchitis because I usually this during the night time when I'm about to go to sleep. Also, I feel like I get weak so easily lately. Even if I get 8-9 hours of sleep, when I wake up at 6 AM, I usually feel kinda tired by 11. It's also flu season here in America since the weather is starting to transition from summer to fall so I don't know whether I'm just paranoid or infected. Hopefully not though! *crosses fingers* I am trying to be optimistic & hope for the best.

P.s. another factor to consider is that there was a construction in house last week so idk if I became allergic to the dust etc.

So should I get tested?

You didn't have a risk and do not need to test over this specific incident . I read your concerns about the precum and razor burn but it still all adds up to a no risk encounter .
No one has been infected in the manner you are concerned with .

The risk factors for HIV are ...
Sharing IV drug needles immediately after use.
Unprotected anal and vaginal sex.
Mother to child during or shortly after birth
Very specific healthcare situations.


Although you don't need to test over this incident , anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to hiv testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.

If you aren't already having regular, routine check-ups, now is the time to start. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine hiv tests to return with negative results.

Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than hiv. Some of the other STIs can be present with no obvious symptoms, so the only way to know for sure is to test.

Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple!

Hello, thanks for replying. Such a relief to know I'm not at risk. The replies I'm gonna get thru here are the same opinion I'll get from a doctor, right? I just wanna ask, how is the precum to the razor cut not risky? Isn't precum a bodily fluid that could contain HIV? Anyway, this is probably the most extreme action I've done in my sex life so far. I haven't practiced any intercourse because all I do is mostly foot fetish play. I'm not very active sexually.

I'm not sure what your doctor will say to you , however we use the latest most up to date peer reviewed science for our risk assessments .

The only risk sexually for HIV are unprotected vaginal and anal sex , so you did not have a risk from a penis rubbing your butt or from precum on razor stubble , its simply not the way HIV is acquired .

Hello, I am a bit worried.... First of all to set the record straight, I have never engaged in any anal or penetrative sex, though I've had guys rub the head of their penis on my anus but never let them put it in and felt moisture/precum.... Was wondering if this is high risk?

Although, I'm worried about two specific encounters I've had in the past few months....

First one happened back in September, met up with a guy online and few minutes before the encounter I shaved the hairs around my anus for him, I wasn't sure if I had a tiny razor cut by my anus or razor burn, but I just feel a slight discomfort by my anus after shaving. Then when we finally played, maybe 25-30 mins after, he was spooning me and felt a very liquid almost like water drip by my anus and he said it's precum. I was worried what if the precum got into the cut, if ever I really had a cut? Was wondering how high was the risk?

Then next one happened last March, hooked up with another stranger, brushed my teeth minutes before meeting up with him then went down on him after about 20-30 mins after I brushed my teeth, I was wondering what if he pre came inside my mouth and I was unaware, what if I had tiny abrasions or little bleeding areas on my gums from brushing? I also exfoliated my lips, what if I had tiny bleeding nicks from exfoliating my lips?  How risky was this? Pls help!!!

Instead of constantly fretting about your hiv status, why don't you just go test and collect your negative result so you can move on with your life?

You've already been told that the sexual hiv risks for adults are unprotected anal and unprotected vaginal intercourse. As you've done neither, there's no doubt in my mind that your test results will be negative. Unless you've been sharing drug injecting equipment and haven't mentioned it, that is.
