Divorced and wondering
« on: April 16, 2008, 11:23:11 am »
Im a recently divorced guy who went out and lived life a little. With women, I always used a condom and played it safe. I recently began experimenting with my sexuality. With guys, I received lots of unprotected blowjobs. I also participated in a session where I gave head with a condom on and tried insertive anal with a condom on. Should I worry abt these bi curious activities or should I move on with my life?

No, you have no need to worry. Everything you've described here has been done under cover of rubber. Condoms offer protection against HIV infection.

Please take the time to read our Welcome Thread and follow the links to our Lessons to learn more about how HIV is and is not transmitted.

You do not need to be tested for HIV as a result of these encounters.

Best regards,

MtD

I agree completely with Matty in terms of the non-risk related to HIV in the activities you've reported. Just want to add on that other STDs are much easier to acquire than HIV. We always recommend that anyone who's sexually active ought to regularly have a full STD panel done. That means at least annually.

Becoming a bachelor again can present all kinds of challenges, sexually, socially and emotionally among others. Just make sure you stick to following safer sex guidelines consistently If you always use a condom for vaginal or anal intercourse you will be well protected as far as HIV is concerned.

Cheers,
Andy Velez
