Title: Fang gets jealous...AGAIN
Post by: AlanBama on July 16, 2006, 08:17:01 pm: Well, guess who had 'spend-the-weekend' company? I'm scared to say the "B" word too loud (Boyfriend).....but we sure are getting along great, he is so sweet and he is as emotional as I am. We have a lot in common, mainly having HIV/AIDS for 20 years....

Fang is extremely jealous, and she chewed on his overnight bag as well as his shoes....she loves to 'spring' up on the bed at the most inopportune moments!

After he left, I vacuumed her, and she's fine now.....just needed a little attention.

I need a lot more detail, graphic, explicit, and unadulterated ( :o), in order to fully grasp what you mean by "inopportune moment"! I mean, did Fang spring while you were "sleeping"? Did Fang spring while you were "watching TV"?

What precisely was going on when FANG SPRANG?

First, Alan gets a weekend visit, replete with a jealous fang who sprang on his thang! :o

Then, I visit my mother, who tells me she has a new beau whom she is planning to go to Mexico with then takes me to a street dance, with him, and spends the night dancing to a band playing retro 70s music.

What am I here, chopped liver! (Just kidding).

I am thrilled for you Alan. I am also pleased for my mother, who has become accustomed to dating younger men. (This one is only 80.)

Maybe next time you can spare your thang by vacuuming Fang before bedtime? Sorta like a kitty night-cap. Or mid-afternoon-cap, or first-thing-in-the-morning-cap.

Oh hell, forget that and lock Fang in the bathroom for goodness sake! Or put the vacuume in the bedroom and Fang in the closet where you keep the vacuume. That'll teach her! :D

Yay for Alan.

Fang chewing on his overnight bag and shoes is actually an afection thing, if I'm correct, meaning he/she is accepting the new man in your life.
Cats brush up against these things to release a pheremone from glands on their forehead and around their eyes. It is their way of 'marking' their belongings and the belongings of those dear to them. Fang scenting these things with his/her pheremones means familiarity and affection. Fang is trying to tell you that he/she accepts this new man and cats are good at picking these things.

Congratulations on having a new sweetie. It sounds as though Fang is a typical kitty. I once had a cat that didn't like the guy I was seeing, and let him know it by crapping on the chair he would sit in at the table every morning. He learned to look before he sat down. I too have been seeing someone for the first time in a long time, and much to my surprise, Baby Elmo, my female dog, actually likes him. This is a bit of a shock as it quite literally can take her years to warm up to people. She is a complete Alpha Bitch, and if you're not dad, you obviously aren't worth trifling with. Good luck with the new guy, I hope it works well for both you and Fang.
