The Koronis Pharmaceuticals “201” study results have caused a great deal of excitement among clinicians and HIV researchers. In response, Koronis has produced a 4-minute long Adobe flash presentation that introduces the Viral Decay Acceleration (VDA) drug mechanism and explains the implications. You can view this by clicking on this link (make sure your volume is on):  http://www.koronispharma.com/video/Koronis-6.swf

If you would like to learn more about the VDA mechanism, you are invited to attend or dial in to listen to the 45 minute presentation that scientific founder Larry Loeb, Ph.D., M.D. will give next Tuesday March 30th at 4:00pm PDT in Seattle. Dr. Loeb will explain the novelty of the drug mechanism and report on the clinical development of KP-1461, Koronis’ drug against HIV. Dr. Loeb is a Professor in the Department of Pathology, Director of the Gottstein Cancer Research Laboratory and Professor in the Department of Biochemistry at the University of Washington. Dr. Loeb has authored or co-authored 285 publications, including publications on HIV RT.

In addition to the scientific remarks, members of the Koronis management team will be on hand to answer questions on the company’s business strategy, upcoming clinical plans and other pertinent topics.

If you are interested in either attending the meeting or listening to the meeting via tele-conference, please RSVP by sending an e-mail to: phv@pacifichorizon.com, and details/dial-in instructions for the call will be e-mailed to you.

Thank you,

Thanks John,
Very interesting that they introduce a new "cripple period" to explain why the patient do not have significant drop of virus number in the body.   I hope this "cripple" thing is not only a theory that they make out to keep the dream only.

Thanks for the info John.

Thats a great Flash presentation. I've been following KP1461 for awhile and thought it went the way of all the others...out to pasture. Good to see they are still looking at it.

Did anyone dial into the teleconference last evening concerning KP-1461?

If so,

1.    What are your overall thoughts on what Koronis had to say about the drug?

2.    Will it be starting clinical trials anytime soon?

3.    Anything NEW/SURPRISING about kp-1461?

Thank you.

Dear all,

As we haven't disallow me to share the 48 minute presentation made by Larry Loeb, Ph.D., M.D. last Tuesday March 30th, I am sharing it with you here. The presentation is quite large (87 MB), and available for download following this link.
