OMG!!!!! Another Space:1999 fan!!! I thought I was the only one!!!!
I've got most of both seasons on VHS from the Colombia House Club from about 10 years ago. They didn't have ALL of them tho. Darn it!!!!
Sure, it's not aging well with the bell bottoms and the "camp" computers and electronics, but at least Martin Landeau finally won that Oscar.  ;D Still a fun show that I always loved and it brings back great memories of my childhood.

Yes! I am buying the series in DVD. I have a few chapters missing still...It was my favorite tv program as a child. I even built Alpha Moon Base on an old wooden door I kept in the garage.
If I was born again I would be Dr. Helen Russel.

Being a sci-fi geek from way back I put together a plastic model of the Eagle space craft and used Legos and Lincoln Logs to create Moonbase Alpha.

WOW!!!! A hidden talent!!!! Sci-Fi geek here as well.
I myself made an ID Badge including a pic way back in 1975. Didn't look too bad.
The Alpha Moon Base I made looked OK, but could have been better. Always wanted an Eagle model but never could find one then.
Good to see someone in GSO. Used to date a guy there. NICE City.

I was another Star Trek and Lost in Space fan - when they first ran! OUCH!

I also enjoyed Space 1999. While the costumes were campy, they were appropos for the day.

By the way, they were designed by a man named Rudy Gernreich. He was a friend of mine when I lived in La La Land.

He was a hoot! We would go out to the clubs in his pearl white Bentley. He refused to drive after drinking, so I sometimes drove home - if I was in condition to do so.  ::)

Just a bit of trivia for you. Rudy designed the first topless bathing suit for women. It was back in the 1960s. It never caught on.

He was such a sweetie. He died back in 1983 or 1984 - my dates are getting fuzzy these days.

HUGS,

Mark

I have pretty much the whole series on DVD...  I built an Eagle Estes shuttle and could not get enough altitude so I added three booster engines to the Eagle.   Well,  T minues 3, 2 1,  Blew a hole in Dad's yard 2 foot deep.  Fire Department came out to put out Dad's grass and no where to be found was my prized Eagle Shuttle which I had worked so hard on...   My ass was grounded for a month.... ;D
