No. Take the time to read the lessons on transmission. You can find the link in the "Welcome Thread."

HIV is a fragile virus which does not survive in a fiable state on environmental surfaces nor airborne in the manner you have described. You are worrying needlessly.

You would do better to read our lesson on transmission than to  spend more time and energy worrying about this absolutely non-risk incident.

Anyone who continues to post excessively, questioning a conclusive negative result or no-risk situation, will be subject to a four week Time Out (a temporary ban from the Forums). If you continue to post excessively after one Time Out, you may be given a second Time Out which will last eight weeks. There is no third Time Out - it is a permanent ban. The purpose of a Time Out is to encourage you to seek the face-to-face help we cannot provide on this forum.

I'm going to say this just once again: you were not at risk for HIV in the incident as you have described it.

You are very quickly heading towards getting a 28 day Time Out from this site for a completely non-risk incident.

You are worrying needlessly. Get on with your life.

Mary,

Hiv is NOT transmitted from objects in the environment, and this includes the situation you describe. Hiv is spread through unprotected anal or vaginal intercourse, not from anything in the environment.

You did NOT have a risk.

Mary,

I've merged your new thread into your original thread - where you should post all your additional thoughts or questions. It helps us to help you when you keep all your additional thoughts or questions in one thread. It doesn't matter how long it has been since you last posted in your thread or if the subject matter is different.

If you need help finding your thread when you come here, click on the "Show own posts" link under your name in the left-hand column of any forum page.

Please also read through the Welcome Thread so you can familiarize yourself with our Forum Posting Guidelines. Thank you for your cooperation.

As you've been repeatedly told, hiv is NOT transmitted from objects in the environment. Hiv is never truly alive - no viruses are. It's either viable or it's not viable. Once it's outside the body, it is NOT viable.

If you read the Welcome Thread before posting like you're supposed to, you will have read the following posting guideline:

Quote

Anyone who continues to post excessively, questioning a conclusive negative result or no-risk situation, will be subject to a four week Time Out (a temporary ban from the Forums). If you continue to post excessively after one Time Out, you may be given a second Time Out which will last eight weeks. There is no third Time Out - it is a permanent ban. Please consider yourself warned!

Mosquitoes cannot transmit hiv.

Hiv is spread through unprotected anal or vaginal intercourse, not through blood in the environment or through bug bites.

It would seem to be time for you to get some counselling to help you deal with your hiv phobia. We cannot help you with that here.

Mary,

The blood was outside the human body. It was inside a mosquito, until you squashed it. What part of hiv is not able to infect when outside the human body do you not understand?

Unless you're having unprotected anal or vaginal intercourse you haven't told us about, you have not had a risk for hiv infection. End of story.

Keep coming back with these no risk situations and you will be given a time out.

 Please do not start a new thread every time you have another question or thought - regardless if you think your questions are related to each other or not. It helps us to help you when you keep all your thoughts or questions in one thread and it helps other readers to follow the discussion. Additional threads will be merged.

Mary,

I'm getting fed up with merging your threads. I'm also getting fed up with trying to explain to you that hiv is not transmitted from blood in mosquitoes or from objects in the environment.

You're not paying attention to anything we write to you, whether it be asking you to abide by our posting rules or how hiv is and is not transmitted.

I'm giving you that time out you've been warned about. Do not attempt to create a new account to get around your time out because if you do, you will be permanently banned.
