I loved that scene were Hoyt gets recruited by the kill the vamp vigilantes and the redneck locks him into a seedy room to kill Jessica.
ok. that part was ok; but look at other things this season

Tara is still a whining wimp, no better than a barmaid, nearly a slave at times
Sookie whines about not being a fairy or having anything to do with anybody.
Alcide, unlike in the books, wimps out and loses his attempt at packmaster
Sam and Luna just keep yelling at each other.
the ugly fairies have turned into slutty hot fairies pole-dancing in their cabaret
thank goodness Patrick, the ifrit and the Iraqi woman are gone.
Great day in the morning! Russell looks like he's got teh AIDS
Main-streaming Bill is suddenly all religious, fanging and sucking people to death - and that's after all those dreadful episodes of him and eric in jail. And what's wrong with Eric? He's not naked and doesn't have any amnesia; but he's got no balls either just letting Bill or Russell do whatever they want.

so stuff happened this season (a lot of stuff, too much stuff); but with very little of a major plot line running (just a bunch of little ones: ifrit, wolf pack, vampire religion)

I was forced to watch an epy of True Blood while in VA. I had never seen it before.
get the DVDs and watch season 1-3. Those are great. Four was okay; but five sucks.

Miss Quinto was on Chelsea Lately this week. He held up well to her snark and managed to talk some good gay power politics. And nicely burned Miss Snark once.

The best caning so far is the one that didnt happen, in the first episode, when that hysterical young sister dropped her panties and begged Mother Superior to whip her, and Jessica Lange was NOT going to indulge her.  It was fiercely perverted.

One of the writers is saying that tonight's epy will be the best AHS episode ever, including all of last years epy's. Hmmm. Supposedly they will reveal who bloody face is...The obvious choice is the doctor, but that's too obvious for this plotline. Sister Jude? nah.

Did they mention Gein or did you just already know about Gein.. It is spot on with this epy.

Did you see the nipples on the lampshades. :o

I normally watch Tv with all the lights out, but got so freaked out had to turn on my lamp for this one.

Nah, I knew it was going in that direction when the lampshade initially flashed quickly by - and I detected it was made of skin.

I'm wondering how the entire Boys From Brazil scenario is gonna play out with that doctor?  I think that Jude is working on something to fuck his ass up before it's all over.  And that entire lobotomy shit was crazy.

Oh, I had to hold my hand up in front of the TV so that it covered the bottom part showing that pick going into her eye.

But the stealing teeth from the lesbian kinda freaked me out also.

Can I just say again how fuckin awesome Jessica Lange is in this role, especially tonight's epy. They will be throwing Emmy's at her.

I admit that this season is a thousand times better than the first one IMO.
I think this season is not nearly as good. I really don't care for these characters like I did the family in the first season. Jessica Lange is the only redeeming quality of this season - unless mr. quinto's acting improves in the next few episodes.

Well that is a good perspective.  However, this season has OUTRAGEOUS and accomplished art direction, acting, and is saying a lot more about society than the first.  Its more post-modern, as it were.  I like a number of the characters. I am not convinced of the value for the present day storyline however.

Season One is on netflix, I finally broke down and watched it.  I almost lost my lunch when she was eating brains.  Trying to figure out how to see what I've missed in Season Two.

So, Wumpy... how 'bout the Black Swan/Angel Of Death being added to the lineup?  I know you jizzed all over yourself when she spread her wings.

Trying to figure out how to see what I've missed in Season Two.

Just watch FX as Season Two is currently running and I'm sure they'll have a marathon catch up day.  Besides, they repeat the episodes numerous times as it is.

That lady is weird.

I fuckin love this show, its the best ever.

But is it jsut me, or was Jessica Lange "kinda off" tonight? Maybe it's jsut because she's not wearing a habit now.

How did you like it?

Try the AHS website, perhaps they run the previous Epy's, also maybe Hulu.? But DONT SKIP AHEAD

I liked it a lot.  Considering I don't care for Horror movies this surprised, but I'm guessing it's because in a television series you have time for character development before the horror sets in.

I guess it was because they were trying to tell more of Jude's backstory as to why she turned over a new leaf so she seemed lackluster?  But you're right: that entire possession/grim reaper shit was bizarre - and out of left field; like Quinto's flash of cheeks  ;)

You queens will be delighted to learn that this awfully boring  :P :P show has been renewed for a third season.

And, naturally, Jessica Lange will be returning (in a new role).

American Horror Story: Renewed for Season Three by FX
http://tvseriesfinale.com/tv-show/american-horror-story-renewed-for-season-three-by-fx-25636/

Quote
To no surprise, FX has renewed American Horror Story for a third season. The current season (American Horror Story: Asylum) has been averaging an impressive 1.7 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.01 million viewers — that’s up from last year’s 1.6 rating and 2.82 million.

The current season will wrap on January 23rd and season three is expected to start airing next fall — with Jessica Lange yet another role.

Here’s the press release from FX:

FX ORDERS NEXT BOOK OF “AMERICAN HORROR STORY”

Network Picks Up 13 Hours of the Third Incarnation of AHS Which Debuts in Fall of 2013

Golden Globe(R), SAG(R) and Emmy(R) Award Winner Jessica Lange Set to Return

Last Night’s Episode of American Horror Story: Asylum Once Again Topped All Broadcast Networks At 10 PM in Delivery of Adults 18-34, Men 18-34 and Women 18-34

Asylum Ends Run on Wednesday, January 23, 2013

Ratings for Asylum Running +19% Ahead of Its Predecessor American Horror Story

LOS ANGELES, November 15, 2012 – FX has ordered the next book of the award-winning miniseries American Horror Story, picking up 13 hours of a new miniseries from Twentieth Century Fox Television, it was announced today by John Landgraf, President and General Manager of FX Networks. Production of the untitled AHS will begin next summer and premiere in the fall of 2013.

American Horror Story: Asylum, the latest hit in the American Horror Story saga, wraps up its run on Wednesday, January 23 at 10 PM E/P. Last night’s episode (11/14/12) of Asylum topped all broadcast networks in the 10 PM time period in delivery of Adults 18-34 (2.1), Women 18-34 (2.4) and Men 18-34 (1.7). Asylum also ranked #3 among Adults 18-34 in primetime versus all broadcast programs behind Modern Family (3.3) and The X Factor (2.7). The episode grew +30% versus prior week in Adults 18-34, driven by a +45% gain among Women 18-34, and it also posted a +9% increase in Adults 18-49 (Live+Same Day ratings, Fast Nationals, subject to change).

“With American Horror Story: Asylum, Ryan and Brad have raised the bar in every way from Murder House, the first American Horror Story miniseries,” said Landgraf. “And their original idea – the notion of doing an anthological series of miniseries with a repertory cast – has proven groundbreaking, wildly successful and will prove to be trendsetting. We can’t wait to see what deviously brilliant ideas they come up with for their third miniseries.”

blah blah blah...

One that looks kinda interesting is the creepy looking The Following.  At the least the ads seemed engaging.  The only bad thing is that it will be on Fox, which means they won't be allowed the freedom that cable has given thus far to AHS.
