tested negative with oral swab but still have a question

I am a male in my mid 20s and I had an experience that I never done before. I had a homosexual experience with someone I did not know at all. There was a lot of frottage and mutual masterbation, no semen was involved but there was a lot of precum and that was unprotected.. then I topped him for 10 to 15 mins. I did wear a condom for anal sex the whole time. When I finished I took the condom off and threw it away.. my concern isni didnt isnspect it thoroughly to see I it was intact and I cant remember iif it didnt break or if I saw anything. So 7 weeks after the encounter I tested negative with oraquick advance oral swab. I felt good for a while but the anxiety caught up to me again so I went back and got tested again. This test was done at 20 weeks after the encounter and it was also negative with oraquick oral swab.. I know 20 weeks is past the window period but is the oraquick oral swab really that reliable or do I have to test again? I was feeling fine but the anxiety started getting to me and its drivin me crazy

You certainly picked an apt username because YES, you need to move on.

You did NOT have a risk for hiv infection. You did all you needed to do in order to protect yourself and that was wear a condom for intercourse. If the condom broke, it would have been obvious and there would be no doubt in your mind.

Condoms have been proven to prevent hiv infection. There have been three long-term studies of couples where one is positive and one is negative. In the couples who used condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, but no barrier for oral activities, not one of the negative partners became infected with hiv. Not one.

Your test results are conclusive - you could have tested at ANY time as you did not have a risk in the first place.

Here's what you need to know in order to avoid hiv infection:

You need to be using condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, every time, no exceptions until such time as you are in a securely monogamous relationship where you have both tested for ALL sexually transmitted infections together.

To agree to have unprotected intercourse is to consent to the possibility of being infected with an STI. Sex without a condom lasts only a matter of minutes, but hiv is forever.

Have a look through the condom and lube links in my signature line so you can use condoms with confidence.

ALTHOUGH YOU DO NOT NEED FURTHER HIV TESTING AT THIS TIME, anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to hiv testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.

If you aren't already having regular, routine check-ups, now is the time to start. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine hiv tests to return with negative results.

Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than hiv. Some of the other STIs can be present with no obvious symptoms, so the only way to know for sure is to test.

Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple!

Thank you so much Ann. The lady who conducted my last test reffered to this forum.. I never had a condom break so I wasnt sure how noticeable it would be or if I would really have to look into it. I read here about frottage being safe as far as hiv transmission goes so my mind was at ease with that.. so on a different note as far as ghe oraquick oral swab. Would a single test past the three month mark be reliable enough to be conclusive and not require further testing?

A negative hiv test at or after three months is conclusive regardless of what antibody test is used - and the test you mention IS an antibody test - a conclusive one at that.
