What a month!
« on: October 30, 2007, 11:30:33 am »
This has been a bad month for me. Started out not getting all my labs and falling out with my doctor over this. Then finally got a new ID doctor lined out.

Water line problems finally got that fixed.

Now since the cold weather has reached us now the damn heat does not work!

Can anything else happen to me this month I guess not since there is only one day left in this month. Just hope next month is better seems like everything hits all at once.

Hey Jerry

I know it's limp to say that - but at least now you have a new doc lining up. I remember your first post about not getting the tests you needed, but now it's all fixed, right? Water and heat problems can all be fixed too... somehow.. you'd glad that winter is coming late than ever because of global warming. Or perhaps you may find some real treasures in the basement while you're the heat...

After my diagnosis I have started buying the lottery more often than before. Hey, if I "win" this game of chances, I may win a real big one. Who knows, somehow life can be ironic. ;)

Oh Jerry
Tell me about it. Honestly you seem to be a strong guy and are handling it all in stride. Now I ....I would have had to hire someone to do all that digging for the water line. I am really impressed with your manliness!
I turned the heat on today and it works.  One day down...... a few more to go before Spring.

I know what you mean Jerry...."It's always something" (Roseanne Rosannadanna).

I whined all summer about this ungodly heat we've had in the South, so I can't complain (at least for awhile!) about it finally turning cooler.   I had to turn my heat on for a few minutes this morning, and it seemed to be working fine (but don't you hate that smell when you first turn on gas heat?)

hugs,

Alan

You are not alone there, Jerry. Remember a few months back I was feeling the same way you were, things will get better. They just never seem to happen as fast as we'd like them to. Hang in there.. :-*

I usually LOVE October, but this one has been strange for me.  I have been fighting a cold/allergies since Oct. 5th, am on my 5th month of unemployment and I have frozen my ass off and not turned my heat on yet!  LOL

Jerry, so glad to hear about the new doc, though, really!   :D

Some good news finally.

Got and appointment to see a new ID doctor near Lisa's in Winston Salem.
It will be on November 9th. Wake Forest University.

Got my heat to finally work yesterday evening found out it was a loose wire.

Water line has been fixed and just got it covered up yesterday.

  :-* :)

Excellent news, Jerry!  Heat, water...and now another perfectly good reason to pop by and see Miss Lisa as a post doctor reward.

Jerry

I don't know how I missed all of this goings on, but I'm glad everything has worked out.

Now, since this is the last day of the month, I'd suggest you lock your door, hide under the bed, you certainly don't need anything more to happen.   ;)
