Welcome to the "Do I Have HIV?" POZ forum.

This special section of the POZ forum is for individuals who have concerns about whether or not they are HIV positive. Individuals are permitted to post up to three questions or responses in this forum.

Ongoing participation in the "Do I Have HIV?" forum (posting more than three questions or responses) requires a paid subscription, with secure payments made via PayPal.

A seven-day subscription is $9.99, a 30-day subscription is $14.99 and a 90-day subscription is $24.99.

Anyone who needs to post more than three messages in the "Do I Have HIV?" forum -- including past, present and future POZ Forums members -- will need to subscribe, with secure payments made via PayPal.

Truly negative?

Dear Friends,

I had a few risky situations 2,5 years ago. All with sexworkers: protected vaginal intercourses and one unprotected oral sex - she gave me a blowjob.Then I met love of my life and stopped putting me on any risk. I'm her first sexual partner, so she was clear.
A year after we started our sexual contacts, she get into troubles with her health. The test showed, that she has a chlamydia. I think I gave her this STD. And I think I contracted it during my unprotected oral sex with sex worker a year ago!!
I scared to death, that I could bring something else. Run some tests for syphillis, gonorrhea, chlamydia and of course HIV. All came negative. Even chlamydia, but I'm quite sure, that I have it. Because of symptoms. For chlamydia I run tests from my blood. No antibodies against chlamydia found.

I started to think, that if my immune system does not see chlamydia, maybe it potentially is not able to produce antibodies for HIV and virus is not detectable by test?
I run another test (Ag/Ab Combo) 2 years afer my risky situations and it also came negative. Can I have HIV inside me and still have negative test results? After 2 years?
I never take street drugs, had no transplantations and chemotherapy.

You never had a risk of contracting HIV.
