« on: September 22, 2006, 05:00:39 am »
hi ima 33 year old male from the uk,a couple of years i posted on here because i was stupid and slept with a sex worker,i was ok,but stupidly ive done it again on a drunken night out,i was nervous and didnt get properly hard she put on condom and i tried to have sex for about 20 seconds and went soft,i tried to get hard again and tried again and failed i toolk off condom and got dressed,my fear is that the condom had rolled halfway up my penis and was hanging off end slightly i am worried that it may have split a bit,i didnt notice when i took it off because i just wanted to go,a freind told me if it had split you cant not notice,as i said the intercourse(if you can call it that) was very very breif, about 20 seconds each time and not properly hard,so if the condom had split what would my risk have beennshe was lubed aswell and definately didnt cum, sorry for the detail but im scared

You already know the over indulging in alcohol don't mix with sex. Should a condom fail, you would know it and as for the slippage, as long as the head of your penis was covered, you have no concern with HIV infection. There are other STDs to worry about but not HIV.

Tom, as Rod has indicated you weren't at risk for HIV as long as the head of your penis was covered, whether it was soft or hard.

Mixing excessive drinking and impulsive sex is a dangerous combination. You already know that. Too many people I have known became infected because they were unable to negotiate safer sex while drunk. Maybe your not-quite-hard dick is telling you something you ought to listen to --- that this kind of situation is not a good one for you.

And if you have a drinking problem, maybe you ought to look into getting help with that.

This time out there is no need for testing but since this is round two of this kind of experience it's time to learn and change your dangerous behavior.

Cheers,
Andy Velez

And the answer was given. If you have a failure of a condom, YOU will know. There are NO HIDDEN failures to a condom.

Tom, when a condom breaks it is not a subtle, secret event which will be overlooked. It really breaks and there's no doubt about what has happened.

This is head stuff you're worrying yourself with. It has no validity in HIV science or what we very well know about condoms.

No kidding.
