Welcome to the "Do I Have HIV?" POZ forum.

This special section of the POZ forum is for individuals who have concerns about whether or not they are HIV positive. Individuals are permitted to post up to three questions or responses in this forum.

Ongoing participation in the "Do I Have HIV?" forum (posting more than three questions or responses) requires a paid subscription, with secure payments made via PayPal.

A seven-day subscription is $9.99, a 30-day subscription is $14.99 and a 90-day subscription is $24.99.

Anyone who needs to post more than three messages in the "Do I Have HIV?" forum -- including past, present and future POZ Forums members -- will need to subscribe, with secure payments made via PayPal.

Hello to you guys.
Its nice to know that your forum has helped so much alleviate peoples fear. I am married and i had a recent infidelity sceanario. I slept with a CSW in the Phil. It was an instance i truly regret. I had a protected sex twice in that day. 15 and 30 minutes sex with condom changes on two acts. I have been having diarrhea and slight fever lately. Do i need to be tested for HIV?

You have no cause for concern about HIV. The only confirmed risks for the sexual transmission of HIV are unprotected vaginal and anal intercourse. You used a condom which is exactly what you are supposed to do. They provide very effective protection against HIV transmission.

Diarrhea is not an HIV specific occurence. If it persists you should talk to your doctor about it. This is not an HIV situation and there is no need for testing.

I have tested negative for all other stds. So for confirmation, I need not need any HIV test after that incident? Thanks Andy. Your answers are very much appreciated.

That's good news about being negative for those other STDs. They are much easier to acquire than HIV.

And no, you do not need to test for HIV.

Happily you have made it through ok this time. Guilt is often a major issue when straying is involved. You did what you did. You can't undo that. See it, accept it, let it go and move on with your life. That is really best for all concerned.

hey Andy,
i have tested negative for hiv 1 & 2 AB, 6 weeks post exposure. i know its not necesssary because i have no risk at all. i only did it for my peace of mind. now, i can go on with my life. i will not test myself anymore as what you have told me.. that it is totally unecessary. i am posting this so everyone would also learn. regards to ann and the rest of the moderators.
