Question about Norvir
« on: May 30, 2010, 12:56:53 am »
Soo...

I called my prescription in a couple of days ago told them we would be there to get it today went to wal-mart too pick it up and oops they didn't have my norvir after telling me over the phone they had it and it was ready.

I've got meds for one day left.  Now they gave me the Truvada and Rayatez.  So here is the question.  The lady at the pharmacy called around and all they have is the old Norvir that has to be refrigerated.

I called my clinic and the doc on call hasn't called me back.  Does anyone know, given that I am on the new Norvir that doesn't require being refrigerated can I take the refrigerated kind for a month and switch back?

Yes, of course.

Also, it only needs to be in the fridge if you're getting a 3-month supply all at once, meaning the bottle for month 1 doesn't need refrigeration,  only months 2 and 3 for storage purposes.  The only caveat being if you have no a/c and the temperature gets toast in the house above 77F.
