Betty, this fox ain't dead.  The woman in the pic found the fox about 11 years ago when it was just a pup.  Luckily for the little fury fellow she was lactating at the time and was able to nurse the little fuzzy from her very own nipple.  In an interview she gave in July of 1998 she said "he is closer to me than my own son".

I despise the song Love is in the Air, you should too.
