Hubby's labs
« on: March 16, 2007, 03:00:16 pm »
Things are looking good except for another slight dip in his CD4's.

Here are his last 5 labs....

March 2006     CD4-413       VL<50      %15.9
June 2206       CD4-409       VL<50      %15.9
Sept. 2006      CD4- 457      VL-<50.    %-21
Dec. 2006       CD4- 380      VL-<50     %-18.5
March 2007     CD4- 321      VL-<50     %-19.5

With his next med refill he will switching to Atripla, which I knew his doc would probably be suggesting.

He also had his cholesterol done this time...good news there!

Last labs  Total-183
               Trig-354
                HDL-36
                LDL  76

New labs   Total-145
                Trig.-95 (way down!)
                 HDL-40
                 LDL-86

Liver protein also down!

He does however need another round of the HEP B vaccine...guess the other one didn't work...our nurse says this is fairly common, any thoughts on this?  She gave him 2 doses today (doubled up on it) he'll go in another month for 2 more.  Our nurse just loves to give him shots, she's always looking over his chart to see what he may need...she's a gem! :D

There was also one other thing he found during the exam today, but I'm not going to open up about that yet.  I'm still processing it.

We of course went to our favorite coney island for lunch afterwards  :)
OK...I guess that is about all for now...thanks for listening!

Those are some pretty good numbers! Tell that man of yours that he's doing something right. I'm sure his daily dose of you is a huge factor to those numbers. Have a great weekend to the both of you!

Nadine, it is real common for HBV vaccination not to take. I've known people to go three rounds and it didn't take. Usually after the third try they just give up on it. Tell Brian, I said great numbers.
