Most likely just freaking out
« on: June 04, 2016, 11:12:52 am »
Hello,

First post on forum - just seeking for some information. Please note as per subject I'm probably just freaking out, but Internet provides many different answers so looking for something from more experienced users.

I had sex with unknown status for me women last week (sunday) - we used protection (preservative) however we also done different things and I wonder is they can be treated as a risks:
* Blowjob without condom (+ swallow)
* She was masturbating next to me, and later touching my penis

There was no penetration at all without condom (I'm sure about this).

Now bit why I'm scared now ...I'm not sure about sex background of my partner, based on my quick asking friends she usually have no borders with random guys (so I can name it higher group of risk).  Around 5 days after potential risky behavious I developed following symptom:
- Generaly flu like (feeling weak etc.)
- Soar throat
- Soar cough
- Little bit of fever (37.1 C)

It already states for 2 days but after taking flu medicines I'm feeling better and I think I will be fine tomorrow.

Why I am asking this questions here is because many different sources says different times of poping up these early HIV symptops. Usually it says 2-4 weeks, but I also found places when it says from 5 days upwards. Is any of my behaviours can be consider as risky ?

Really sorry for "noob" questions but I already order free HIV test and I think can proceed it 2-4 weeks after possible exposure ...

Regards
D

Hi
Protected intercourse and receiving a blow job were no risk for HIV.
As for the mutual masterbation, body fluids are not infectious once exposed to air
so no risk there either. It is safe to move on.

Best , Wade

To avoid infection,
You need to be using condoms for all anal and vaginal intercourse until you are in a trusting monogamous relationship and both have been tested for all STIs and HIV.
Everyone who is sexually active should have an annual exam and test for all STIs and HIV ,and always after unprotected intercourse. Always using condoms will give you peace of mind your tests will return with a negative result.
