I posted a long time ago but couldn't go back far enough to pick up the old thread, therefore I am starting a new one - apologies in advance.
I tested negative in April this year (antigen and antibody test) at 24 weeks after exposure (masturbated at end of massage). I have had no other possible exposures since.
I am still experiencing symptoms:
daily diarrhea
daiily pain/tingling/numbness in my toes
daily pain around jaw and side of face and flushing on face and neck/chest
pain in my groin at top of thigh
[iscomfort in back of throat
frequent mout ulcers
I have had lots of scans and other urine and blood tests but nothing diagnosed
My question is, is there any point in having another HIV test?

There was no point in testing in the first place. Masturbation is not a risk for HIV infection. It's all explained in the Welcome Thread (http://forums.poz.com/index.php?topic=220.0).

And even if you had a risky incident, which you didn't, then getting a negative result at anytime after 13 weeks would mean you are HIV negative. So you ARE HIV negative. Period. End of story.
You need to discuss your symptoms with your doctor instead of mistakenly diagnosing them yourself.
This is not an HIV situation. Whatever is going on has nothing to do with HIV.

I'm back again. I am no further forward with a diagnosis to my problem. My wife is now suffering from the same bowel movements I have had for a long time and the similar sore throat/difficulty swallowing that I have had for a long time now. She also had a 'flu-like illness' with heavy night sweats 6 weeks after intercourse back in March. Our children have not had any of these ailments, so it could possibly be something that I have passed to her.
My question: Is there a relationship between the presence of symptoms, which I had 6 weeks after exposure and sero conversion?
And
As I tested at 24 weeks, could I be a late seroconverter?
I really thought that this was behind me but now why wife's symptoms are so similar to mine I am very, very worried again.

No, you are not a late seroconverter. You had no reason to test in the first place since masturbation is not a thing that puts you at risk for HIV. Stop chasing a disease you do not have.

The HIV test will occasionally yield a false positive. A false negative only happens if the test is done too early. That is not an issue in your case since you (unnecessarily) tested out to six months.
Your wife needs to check things out with her doctor. This has nothing to do with HIV.You have more than conclusively tested negative for HIV. That was no surprise because you weren't at risk for HIV to begin with.
Guilt. That's what your still active upset is about. You were a dog and you went straying a bit like the rest of us. You can't can't undo that bit of your personal history. What you can do, and this is the most loving thing for all concerned, is to take a breath, see what happened and then breathe out and let it go. Get on with your life. You're just a dog. HIV is not the issue. Really.

You are a v.sensible man, Andy. I always find your replies very helpful. You are right, I was a dog (back in kennel now) and regretted what I did very shortly afterwards. I never even thought about HIV (until I got ill at 6 weeks) as I thought I hadn't done anything risky. I am being tested for a rare cancer which some of the symptoms I have indicate. Now that my wife has similar symptoms I thought, just a moment, she can't be a candidate to have a rare 1 in 10,000 of the population cancer, can she? That's why I came back to HIV. I keep chanting that mantra, 'I tested negative, I am HIV negative' but sometimes I stop believing just a bit. I'm trying to get back 'on message'.
