The DailyMail in the UK has a somewhat extensive photo gallery and accompanying article about the devastation from hurricane Sandy.

Those are some phenomenal pictures , showing the massive amounts of destruction. It's going to take an awful long time to get back to some sort of normalcy.

Ugh, Vegas is so boring without the hookers and blow.
Don't be fancy, just get dancey

"Significant" Nor'Easter, Plummeting Temps Will Hit City This Week

Those Mayans were clearly on to something.

We just got power back an hour ago. Thirty-six hours to live large before doing it all over again.

Recent reports have the Wednesday night Nor'easter going further east and affecting Long Island more than New Jersey.  The further east the less rain and surge, the more cold which is good if the power stays on.  Sunday night was hell for folks who stayed home I'm sure Tim, so you simply must give us the juicy details on how you stayed warm! ;)  But I hope Wednesday won't be bad.  No full moon either which is good for the tides.

I just read that a place 10 miles south of Asbury Park has returned mandatory evacuations:

For what it's worth, indeed many forecast models last night were indicating a further east situation as Jody mentioned. However, NOAA has stated that forecast confidence is lower than average for this event, and that new guidance models this morning have reversed last night's trend and moved it back west. They're even expecting 1-4" of snow along I-95, but not east to the shore areas.

I suppose this is a way of saying "we don't have a clue" and to be prepared anyway.

NOAA link from Mt. Holly, NJ office which covers upper Delmarva, PHL, and Jersey Shore.
