petrified oral exposure
« on: November 19, 2010, 07:44:52 am »
Hi thnx to all in advance this is such an excellent wesbsite.  I am 22 years old circumcised asian hetero man from london. Four days ago i foolishly went to an escort (european) she gave me unprotected blowjob for ten minutes. I didnt give her any oral sex (cunnilungus) but there was some gentle french  kissing & i sucked her nipples for about ten seconds but didnt feel anything. i kissed her on her body maybe on vagina too but no licking and no tongue was involved on her body. There was no vaginal or anal penetration and i i didnt eejaculate in her mouth too. I didnt notice any blood in her mouth or on penis. As this happenned very recently i havent got any symptoms yet but i have been reading alot on the internet about little risk from  oal sex and i m very scared now cant concentrate properly i have got exams next month so much is at stake but cant help myself. Please can you analyse my risk nd sugeest when and which test should i take. Here they do hiv duo test at gum clinic will it be conclusive after a month or i have to wait for three months thnks alot.    Ne final thing as you guys must know dr hunter on medhelp i have gone through many of his replies he says usually there is 1 in 20000 chance for oral sex but in his very recent post on a question for receiving blowjob  he said one in 2000 i know this should be a typing error or is it true thnx

You never had a risk of contracting HIV.

"And oral sex is basically safe sex -- completely safe with respect to HIV and although not zero risk for other STDs, the chance of infection is far lower than for unprotected vaginal or anal sex.  Please educate yourself about the real risks.  If you stick with oral sex and condom-protected vaginal or anal sex, you have no HIV worries and very little worry about other STDs. Please  can someone tell me whether hiv duo test p24 antigen they do in London is conclusive or not after 30 days. Secondly are there any cases of someone contacting hiv from receiving blowjob i am circumcised male. I have read receiving blowjob is less risky even in theory than giving oral sex .thanks

Receiving oral is one of the most common of sexual activities. In the entire history of the epidemic there has never been a single confirmed case of a guy becoming infected in that manner. It's safe to say that you are not going to make history by becoming the first.

As for your question about a test, the antigen test can be used to pick up infection at up to about 28 days. However, after a negative on the antigen test, if there has been a genuine risk such as unprotected vaginal or anal intercourse, it is still necessary to have an HIV test done at 13 weeks for a conclusive negative result.

Boy,

But the point is - you did NOT have a risk. You got a no-risk blowjob. So chill.

Here's what you need to know in order to remain hiv negative:

You need to be using condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, every time, no exceptions until such time as you are in a securely monogamous relationship where you have both tested for ALL sexually transmitted infections together.

To agree to have unprotected intercourse is to consent to the possibility of being infected with an STI. Sex without a condom lasts only a matter of minutes, but hiv is forever.

Have a look through the condom and lube links in my signature line so you can use condoms with confidence.

ALTHOUGH YOU DO NOT NEED TO TEST OVER GETTING BLOWN, anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to hiv testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs. If you're not sexually active, you don't need any of this - I'm telling you for future reference.

If you aren't already having regular, routine check-ups, now is the time to start. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine hiv tests to return with negative results.

Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than hiv.

Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple!

"theoretical" means just that. It means that scientists can theorize specific events that could transmit HIV, but absolutely no evidence of transmission in the real world has ever been confirmed. Like kissing, or mosquitoes.

If you make history, and garner the attention of modern medical science, then the upside will be that all of your treatment and care will be provided. You will also have the (dubious) honor of achieving HIV transmission through a heretofore undocumented means of transmission. Most likely, it will be an evolution of HIV that has never been witnessed, or an anomaly in your own system that facilitates HIV transmission despite the fragility of the virus and the inhospitable environment of the mouth.

If that sound far-fetched, it is. You will not likely make history by being the first to be documented to have been infected this way. This is why we base our risk assessment on, among other things, careful monitoring of serodiscordant couples who engage in unprotected oral sex, yet use condoms for anal and vaginal sex. In two decades' worth of monitoring, not a single infection through oral sex was achieved.

You seriously had no risk.

"Many people, especially in the gay community, turn to oral sex as a safer alternative in the age of AIDS. And with HIV rates rising, people need to remember that oral sex is safer sex. It's a reasonable alternative."

Boy,

We're not responsible for scaremongering that goes on at other websites. We don't do that here. There have been NO verified, documented cases of a person being infected from getting a blowjob. Some people might claim they got it that way, but that doesn't make it true.

If you cannot bring yourself to believe us when we say that getting a blowjob is not a risk for hiv infection and you're not going to be the first person infected that way, then go test and collect your negative result.

But you will NOT be permitted to use this website to go on and on about your NO RISK blowjob. You got your dick sucked, now get over it.

PLEASE CONSIDER YOURSELF WARNED FOR THE LAST TIME!!!

hi guys happy new year to all of you. i hope i am doing the right thing by posting in my previous thread. After my previous encounter of unprotected blowjob i was tested negative at 29 days by hiv duo test at freedomhealth london and i was told it was conclusive as i didnt have a real risk too. surprisingly drs at
nhs(govt) in uk they told me too it wasnt a risk by receiving a blowjob altough on the website they say low risk and they didnt give me a test for that exposure.

Honestly i had decided not to do any type of sex with any stranger after my last exposure but on new years eve in london i got crazy again. i went to an escort 23 year old spanish female in a very posh area in central london. this time i made sure the blowjob was protected too and there was a brief protected vaginal sex for 3 minutes with the same condom that was used for blowjob. the only thing unprotected was kissing and me fingering her in vagina i didnt have any noticeable cuts on my fingers. now my concern is that i dont know which condom was it  as it was provided by  her and i dont know its brand. secondly as i have never had any broken condom or seen it so i am getting concerned it mighy have ripped and i didnt notice it. what i know is that it was looking normal and my siemen was in it after the intercourse. please can u guys asess my risk and tell me how to know if a condom is broken or not thanks very much

Didn't you understand any of the replies you have been given it the past? You did not have a risk of contracting HIV from oral sex with or without a condom and you had vaginal PROTECTED sex which isn't a risk.

When condoms break they do so catastrophically. They end up completely shredded. It's a design feature so you know if one has busted or not.

Believe me if the condom had busted, you would have known. If the condom was normal looking, it wasn't ruptured.

Rather than running here anxiously everytime you have a new sexual experience, you need to apply the information that you have been given here to your ongoing life. You've gotten the basics about using a condom everytime for vaginal and anal intercourse. No exceptions.

Everything else sexual is only theoretically a risk which means in the real world of HIV real sexual risk is about unprotected intercourse.

As Matty has explained when a condom fails it is a very obvious thing. It ends up looking like a hoop on your penis with a lot of latex fringe. It is not about itsy bitsy little holes.

I'm going to give you a last warning. If you come back again about another non-risk I am promising you a Time Out for at least 28 days. If you can't have sex without getting unduly anxious then maybe it's time for you to talk with a therapist or other professional. We can't provide that kind of service in this setting.

Please read my query fully and please please dont ignore it thanks so nice of you guys.
i have a good news i got tested again with an HIV duo test at exactly 4 weeks after my exposure which was protected blowjob and protected vaginal sex for 3 minutes max with a female escort in london & with the same condom and some vaginal touching (fingering). In the Uk they consider it atleast 95-98% accurate. I am so sorry i know you guys will get angry but please can you give me some final advice as i am still not able to move on. I didnt have any symptoms yet too its been 4.5 weeks now. Now i dont have any doubt that protected blowjob has absolute zero risk but what is still bothering me is protected vaginal sex i wish i hadnt done it i wouldnt have been in this pickle then.
--Guys please tell me whenever i had been to a GUM clinic (both private & NHS) they never say protected vaginal sex is zero risk or safe sex they say it is safer sex & low risk.they are never confident that i wasnt at risk & therefore they test me.Altough i told them the condom was durex extra safe and it was intact after the intercourse as i saw my semen at the tip and it didnt slip. Why are the experts not very confident about condom protected vaginal sex even one time exposure?
--- Please can you guys confirm this if i receive only blowjob with condom on then there is absolutely no risk at all of STDS (specially HIV) and i dont need any testing whatsoever even if i receive a protected blowjob everyday not even for routine testing if this is the only exposure. I am asking this to educate myself for future as i have told you i didnt have any sex education.? is this the safest sex one could do.
---- I also tried to experiment with a durex extra safe latex condom. I tried to stretch it very hard but i wasnt able to tear it then i made a very smal tear with a scissor and then stretched it & yeah then it was completely  ripped with shredded fringes. So this didnt happen with me that day but still i cant move on please tell me how to move on i know you are not offering counselling service here but just a friendly and personal advice please.
---- Just one more thing if i dont have any visible break or sores on my penis is vaginal touching and fingering completely safe too?
Please dont give me a timeout as you can see i didnt post anything silly in this whole period and now i am just asking some questions for future guidance and just to move on. Please give me some final advice and please answer all my questions and queries fully. You guys are simply awsome thanks

In the entire history of the epidemic there has never been a single confirmed case of transmission to a guy through his having received a blowjob. Not one. And it's one of the most common of sexual activities.

You are not going to be special and make history by becoming the first. You are worrying absolutely without any basis in HIV science.

It is true that sex with a condom is "safer sex." The only 100% safe sex is with your own hand.''

But having said that, you are not at risk for HIV when you get a blowjob including without a condom.

And yes, frottage or vaginal touching is safe as well as long as your penis is not inserted without having a condom on.

Cut out the drama and get on with your life.

hi guys hope you are doing well and having a wonderful time. so i was moving on pretty well since my last post. i will be going for a final 13 week test next week. i want to have some advice from you guys. i want to minimise my risk for stds specially for hiv and to overcome my anxiety and fear and at the same time have.some fun as i am single. if in the future i  want to have a normal body massage from a female in a massage parlour and have a handjob from her or maximum if i receive protected blowjob from her what i mean is that if i restrict myself to these activities and avoid any penetrative sex whatsoever (even protected) with strangers will i still have any risk? i am asking this because you and other experts advise sexually active people to have regular test including hiv. the thing is i dont want to do any hiv test whatsosver in the future so i need to mak e some decisions in advance . the activities i have described are considered  the safest for hiv risk so what do you guys say even if i dont do any penetrative sex and limit myself to protected blowjob, handjob massage still i have to test regularly if yes then i have to definitely stick with masturbation. the key is i dont want to test again. i read this strategy from dr hhh on medhelp where he said to a hetero guy if he avoids vaginal sex and anal sex altogether with strangers  then he doesnt have to do regular testing for hiv. i hope this question makes sense and you guys understand what i am trying to say. thanks this is kind.of a risk management question.  handjob massage and protected blowjob even dr bob of thebody considers these activities safe. the only confusion is with receiving unprotected blowjob so if it is also protected that would solve the.problem. secondly when you receive protected blowjob you can easily notice if a condom breaks and you can stop. this is my understanding kindly give me your opiniobs andy ann matt and others.

thnx rod u missed the point in my last post. i have read it already it still
says all sexually active persons should have regular std test. my question is if i restrict myself to only the activities described above (massage, handjob , protected oral receiving ) and.avoid all kinds of vaginal anal sex do i still?have to do regular testing for stds including hiv. what is your take on this , is masturbation only the way to avoid these traumatic testings thanks

Listen, it is up to you. Some STDs are acquired by skin to skin contact or kissing. Not HIV, but others are easier to acquire.

If you're old enough to be having sex you are old enough to take proper care of yourself in terms of your health. You decide what makes sense for you. We recommend that anyone who is sexually active ought to at least once a year have a full std panel done.
