I've seen some shitty threads in my day, but this one takes the butt-biscuit.

(Scatting by Scatman John)
I'm the Scatman
(Scatting by Scatman John)
I'm the Scatman
(Scatting by Scatman John)

Everybody stutters one way or the other
So check out my message to you.
As a matter of fact don't let nothin' hold you back.
If the Scatman can do it so can you.

Everybody's sayin' that the Scatman stutters
But doesn't ever stutter when he sings.
But what you don't know I'm gonna tell you right now
That the stutter and the scat is the same thing.
Yo I'm the Scatman.

Where's the Scatman? I'm the Scatman.

Why should we be pleasin' all the politician heathens
Who would try to change the seasons if the could?
The state of the condition insults my intuitions
And it only makes me crazy and my heart like wood.

Everybody stutters one way or the other
So check out my message to you.
As a matter of fact don't let nothin' hold you back.
If the Scatman can do it brother so can you.
I'm the Scatman.

(Scatting by Scatman John)

Everybody stutters one way or the other
So check out my message to you.
As a matter of fact don't let nothin' hold you back.
If the Scatman can do it brother so can you.

I hear you all ask 'bout the meaning of scat.
Well I'm the professor and all I can tell you is
While you're still sleepin' the saints are still weepin' cause
Things you call dead haven't yet had the chance to be born.
I'm the Scatman.

(Scatting by Scatman John)
I'm the Scatman....repeat after me
It's a scoobie oobie doobie scoobie doobie melody
I'm the Scatman....sing along with me
It's a scoobie oobie doobie scoobie doobie melody
(Scatting by Scatman John)

Well, I'm certainly glad this thread was nudged to the top of the milk can! I read it from beginning to End and I was caused to wonder if any among us had the wondrous childhood memory of having listened to The Scat in the Hat being read aloud or singing songs from The Scat in the Hat Songbook.

Oh goodness, why don't I just list all of the juicy Seussy-poo favs. I hope it brings the brown back to your blue sky days, puts the labor in your Labor Day weekend, and takes your mind off of those other icky poo-posts--you know the ones I mean---for me they're still fresh, warm and I'm trying to cover up the visuals like a fastidious cat.

Walk with me. Down litter-ary lane...hits like Gerald McPooing Pooing
and The 500 Scats of Bartholomew Cubbins. Not to forget  And To Think That I Saw Shit on Mulberry Street and that classic Bartholomew and the Poobleck.

Learning about poo early on was easy with Bowel Bowel Bowel: Learn About the Sound of B, BMs and Other Stuff. And, anyone could grunt along while skimming the pages of The Butt-er Battle Book.

Families read the book, then made home movies! That all-time family after-dinner chart-topper  Green Eggs and (Well, of Course, Children) Green Poop and the laugh-along hit Horton Hears a Poo!

The books that made you look ahead and think about life in the future included If I Ran the Poo Zoo, Oh, The Places You’ll Go (and Poo) and its sequel Oh the Shits You Can Shit!

And then there were those books that explained defiance and defecation in only the way a kid would understand. I Am Not Going to Crap Today! and
I Am Not Going to Read Any Words About Crap Today! defining a generation of little shits.

Books about accomplishment, athleticism and even academics inspired us so. Remember Hop on Poop, I Can Lick 20 Tigers’ Asses Today, I Can Poo Upside Down! and I Can Poo With My Eyes Shut? How about Hunches Then Crunches Poo Comes in Bunches and Oh, The Things You Can Count from 1-10: Learn About Counting Poo?

Questioning, realizing and celebrating that others poo, too, were captured in Oh You, Can You Poo?, Pooray for DiffenDoofer Day, McElligots Sess Pool, Horton Snatches the Poo and Mr. Brown Can Poo! Can You?

Detection, introspection and reflection accompanied many a ponderous poo read with the pages of My Many Colored Poo Days,  On Beyond Zebra Dung, One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Ate Blue Fish Feces, The Shape of My Poo and Other Stuff as well as Wet Turd, Dry Turd, Low Turd, High Turd.

And oopsy-poopsy, I nearly forgot the cherry on top of the fidgety-fudge. slidgety-sludge sundae, The Scat in the Hat Comes Back!
