Breast Enlargement/Lump
« on: January 01, 2014, 03:22:09 am »
I am male, age 31 Years, No smoking, No Alcohol Habit, taking EFV+3TC+TDF since last one and half year.

Since last three months i noticed in my right nipple enlarged and noticed small lump. When I touch it i feel some small amount of pain also. Is it any side effect or anything else.

Whom can i consult a gynecologist or oncologist?
Can any one give me a good suggestion

Talk to your primary care doctor, so (s)he can order a mammogram.  If further attention is needed from mammogram results, your doctor can refer you to the appropriate medical doctor.

I agree with Bettina, consult your primary care physician first -- they will refer you to a specialist if need be. Sometimes these things end up being nothing so please don't get your nerves hyped up needlessly. Let us know how it turns out.

ps: however, when making the appointment with your GP state what the issue is so they get you a quicker appointment instead of it being three months from now.

Why would a 31 year old male, or any male, see a gynecologist?

I'd schedule an appointment with my pcp and go from there.

Just for shits and giggles, I've had a needle biopsy done of a lump and it turned out to be nothing, which I believe is what the majority of needle biopsies turn out to be.  And the procedure itself was not horrible; except the doctor nicked a blood vessel and had to put a small clamp in my right boob.

My brother has a very similar sounding lump.  He actually had surgery on it back about 5 years ago, but it came back.  They say his is just some kind of fat deposit.  It has gotten large again, that you can see it through his shirt.  But, you should definitely have it checked to make sure it isn't more than just a fat deposit.

Good luck and let us know what ya learn.

As my Primary Care doctor advised I visited to gynecologist , then gynecologist advised to meet once General Surgeon.

General Surgeon did not advised any medical tests. He prescribed some following tablets.

cefuroxime axetil - 500 mg - 2 times a day-15 days
diclofenac sodium 50 mg + serratiopeptidase 10 mg - 2 times a day- 10 days
Crispa Gel - oral- 2 times a day

Taking after two weeks of these medicines he advised to me visit him once again.

Thanks for responding Friends..
