Jawbone/Fit Bit/Fuel
« on: January 08, 2014, 04:54:08 pm »
I got a Jawbone Up24.
  https://jawbone.com/up

Does anyone else use these (or a Nike Fuel or Fit Bit Flex)?  Its pretty cool and if you dont have one I think they could be a good tool for many of us here with a chronic illness that should exercise more.  You wear them 24hours a day and they track all your activity and sleep and wirelessly sync to your phone or ipod so you can see if you need to move or exercise more.  They also track how much you sleep at night and how often you wake up at night so you can track that and adjust your sleep if needed.

They then compile all that data and give you reports at the end of the week and month to see on average how active you are and how you can increase your activity to become healthier.

They also synch with other fitness apps (I have mine sync'd to my "Run Keeper" app so when I run it automatically pushes the data to the UP app and I have a record of the run).  They also track when you go to the gym and workout.

They are pretty cool and I have found the data they collect to be pretty powerful and useful.

Just today, my Up app told me that on average I walk 5000 more steps each day than other men my age in the US.

Don't be fancy, just get dancey

I was just looking at one of these the other day, the Nike Fuel. I'm just not digging the price. But now You've made me jealous.

Speaking of cock rings, has anyone ever been really cracked out and pulled a shoelace out of their shoe and used it as a makeshift cockring? works wonderfully

No but I was waiting in line to get into Sidetracks bar in Chicago in the cold when my heavy steel cock ring slid off down my pant leg and went cling cling cling on the sidewalk rolling away as I tried to chase it . Shit like that keeps you humble .

I seriously like the idea of that..."if you knew how much time you had left, wouldn't you use that time wisely? No more pointless arguments, no more chasing after what you don't really want,"

All I can think of is what would happen if you knotted it too tightly and couldn't get it undone..... nearly happened to a partner of mine once and boy did he panic! (It wasn't a shoelace, it was a thin silk rope. I'll leave it to your imaginations what else we were doing with lengths of silk rope....)

Had that happen, in a suit, at the office. This was the 80s. Had a lunch date to screw and was requested to go commando wearing a heavy ring...
Steel cockrings are good fun and exciting but finally they can damage your junk (arteries...).
Stick with leather, neoprene, silicone, Hermes ties, asparagus rubber bands, etc etc

Were you absolutely mortified ? I was . To add insult to injury the guy who left the $60 cock ring at my house was there also and made me give it back after I chased and fetched it from the gutter .

Some of the guys who attended AMG last year probably went to Sidetracks ... that bar was the place to be seen back then, just not the way they saw me .

It was a conference room and there were lots of tables, chairs and most importantly, carpet, I believed nobody noticed and it rolled to a discrete place. I kicked it out of view when I could and went back later.
Anyhoo, the big boss was gay, and always very protective of me, but one managing director was a woman who would NOT have been amused... Yeah I was mortified!

, asparagus rubber bands,

AH! yes. Good one.

All I can think of is what would happen if you knotted it too tightly and couldn't get it undone..... nearly happened to a partner of mine once and boy did he panic!

No silly. You dont tie the shoelace you just run it around the bases a couple times then loop it under, or if you are in a cute mood you can do a bowtie like on your shoes.

(It wasn't a shoelace, it was a thin silk rope. I'll leave it to your imaginations what else we were doing with lengths of silk rope....)

I red review of the jawbone.  Tell me, have you found it accurate for monitoring your sleep?  this means its always on the write, right?  And how far does your smartphone need to be for the bluetooth to work. Or does the jawbone save up the data when the smartphone isn't available?

You only just figured that out?

BTW - I didn't tie and knot it around his willy (heh), he did that all by hisself.

The sleep mode is accurate.

It saves up the info until it is within reach of your phone..they don't need to be by each other all the time.

You really should have a warning on these types of pics before they pop up! I went from laughing at the thought of chasing a ring outside of Sidetracks to THAT monstrosity! Looks like a dental fetish!

I have a friend who has the Nike....he swears by it. Of course, nothing goes into his body that isn't 100% organic, he lives at the gym and takes about five pounds of supplements every day in addition to having a complete inventory of his hair to check for losses. He looks delicious.....but I'll outlive him by decades!
