It's horrendous really, but most gay folks that are pro-gay marriage won't give a crap because it doesn't effect them. Like I've stated previously, going by my last long term relationship this would have greatly aided our situation and prevented the dissolution of our union.

I suppose at some point it will be fixed but who knows how long that will take.

Sad to hear this.  If DOMA is ruled unconstitutional, wouldn't the federal government have to treat gay, foreign spouses the same, in the states that have marriage equality?
