Truvada and Sustiva Combo
« on: October 06, 2007, 02:50:20 pm »
What would be the reason to be on Truvada and Sustiva over other 3 pills combo?

Just curious because it seems BlondBeauty is on that combo.... I am thinking about changing my PI to something else to see if that help with my ED....

Egello,

I am currently on Atripla, a combination of the 3 medications found in Sustiva an Truvada.  It's one pill with all 3 meds together.  That means that I only have to deal with 1 pill for my entire HIV regimen.  It makes compliance SO much easier.  I only have to worry about one pill, once a day.  I take it right before bed and have none of the side effects.  If I take it and stay up (like I am going to do tonight for work) I do get some of the dizziness and a minor amount of nausea, but nothing that can't be coped with.
I prefer the one pill dose because it's one copay vs 2 or 3.  It's one pill once a day vs 2 or 3 at different times... and the same medications so presumably the same results.

Hope this helps.
