Flipped my cookies
« on: April 19, 2009, 10:34:22 pm »
Threw up about 15 minutes ago, and up came my Atripla as well as my other meds.
The Atripla pill was partly absorbed.
Checked on line, and one dude threw his up and was advised to take another because his pill was not completely absorbed either.  (sorry for being graffic).
Guess it is better (THIS ONE TIME) to take a second, rather than not at all,  side effects shouldn't be much worse than you normally have.
Anyway, only thing I have read is if you FORGET to take, don't double dose the next day, etc.
But could only find the one answer if you flip your cookies.

Any suggestions,  I did take another one,  stomach has settled down now.

Thanks,  Bruce

Hi Bruce,

That's the advice I've always heard - if you throw up and can see your pill(s) in what you throw up, it's best to take another dose.

Hope you managed to keep the second one down and you're still feeling better.

Hugs,
Ann
