We should have about 12 inches of snow by the time it's all done

The Midwest and Northeast are really getting hit hard

Nice day to stay in, watch movies and look out the window

Be careful if you must go out!

Nadine,
Unfortunately here in WV it's still coming down as rain.  Our little town was already flooded.  Business have lots of damage and still haven't opened. Yesterday was clear.  It was supposed to rain and then snow about 6 inches by this morning.  But, it stayed too warm and it's rain.  The creeks have receded back into their banks, but it won't take much to overflow them again.

Stay warm and dry!  This is all supposed to be over for us by Thursday.  By then we'll be conducting business from a boat ;D

We've got rain and lots of wind here in eastern  NC, and it's in the 70's.  We did have a very white Christmas back in '89 with over 18" of snow.  It really shut down the whole area.  We do better with lots of rain and less snow here.  I hope you guys do ok - no ice, downed power lines, etc.  Take care and stay warm!

We received a lot of rain overnight but that's it, and all that was predicted for the entire I-95 corridor.  However, we're supposed to endure a day of exceptionally high winds as is everyone else on the tail end of this storm, so if you received snow I'd expect some nasty snow drifting at some point.

Here it started out as snow, then sleet, then freezing rain, then rain, back to snow with 46 mph gusts. We have a lot of trees down and limbs but didn't get the snow accumulation that they were calling for. I just hope the power doesn't go out.  Nadine, what happened to Lucas's snowblower? I thought he got a new one when he sold the other one? Never mind I know what happen to his snowblower. She won't get off the couch.  :D I've only had to use the snowblower once this year. I feel guilty doing just mine so I usually go and do a couple of elderly neighbors. Anyone my age and younger, I let them do their own.

Been pretty lucky here. A good snow started yesterday at lunch before our show. We saw Sweeney Todd the musical at the Palace theater and by the time the show over it had switched over to rain. Possible 1-3 inches today but we'll see. At this rate don't even know if Jeffrey will get to use his new snowblower. But we're not complaining

We had two days of rain here, then it turned to a light dusting of snow.

Then the wind blew for a day or so.

The past few days have been sunny with cool days, in the low 30s, and cold nights with temps dropped to 5 or 6 degrees F.

Ah winter.

Poor Buddy. The little pouch had to poop and pee on the sidewalk. Poor little guy.  ::)

I am so sick of rain and overcast skies. When the sun peeks out occasionally I look up like it's a miracle or something.
sheesh! Ought to be in great shape in by late mid-March.

Hey, Rod, that's great that you help out the elderly folks nearby.

Hey, Rod,.....how far are you willing to travel for goodwill snowblowing?

Hi Guys,
We are thinking about you all from Down under in Australia - we get the weather reports each day showing the ic, snow and flooding that you are getting.

We seem to be on the other extreme - the worst drought in many years in some areas and floods and severe bushfires in other areas.

Make what you can of a bad cold snap and keep warm - I hope you all get what you wish for at Christmas

Scuddly

Nadine, I live in northcentral Indiana (South Bend) and we got it also!  Not sure how far up you guys live in Michigan.  I used to live in southernmost Michigan (Niles) and my parents are from Detroit.   So it would seem like I would be used to this, but I'm never ready.  I did go out to 7-11 today and got stuck coming back into my parking space.  :D  My neighbor did snowblow off my whole front porch and made a path for me out to my car.  Hope you guys are keeping warm and staying off the roads!

Hi Nadine,

Hope you guys are staying snug and warm!  It's below freezing here, and I'm pouting about it....I like FALL and SPRING.   Moderate temperatures, with no extremes....

I can dream about a White Christmas, but I really don't think I'll be seeing one....

The roads were really bad yesterday, i went out at 10 a.m. to get fixens for a crockpot dinner. and then to take Nadine's movie back later in the day. roads did not improve much. to much blowing and drifting.
The dinner came out good, sausage with potato's and green beans. Nadine liked this one.
last weekend i made Venison stew and she didn't eat any of that.

The old snow blower needs a repair, or i need a new one that is a bit easier to start.
i didn't stop at home depot ( roads were too bad) for a large 2 by 4 to pry Nadine's ass off the couch.
( don't know if they make one big enough for that)

I love venison, Lucas.  I went to a Native American longhouse a few years ago and they had a feast afterwards and someone made a delicious venison stew.  I hope you and Nadine (and Buddy) are keeping warm!  It's blowing and drifting here in Northcentral Indiana also, and I hear the roads are very icey!
