Question about encounter
« on: October 02, 2013, 02:12:48 pm »
Hello and thank you for providing this forum for questions.

I'm a male and had an encounter with another male that mostly consisted of hand-to-genital contact, oral, and frottage, all of which I see from the Transmission Lesson are not risks for HIV transmission.

However, while we were frotting, he placed his penis on my anus and began to rub it. I was uncomfortable with that, so I switched positions and we did something else. Later in the encounter, he put his penis again on my anus, but this time I could feel some pressure as if he was trying to make his penis go inside me, so as soon as I felt that, I immediately pulled away from him and we did not engage in anything else except oral after that.

Because I was facing him, I was not able to see if his penis did in fact partially go inside my ass, and it's also hard to tell from what I felt if it partially went in. Also, just in general I had never had a penis up my ass because I've never done anal sex, so I'm not sure what it feels like. All I know for certain is that his penis certainly didn't fully make it inside my ass.

Would this situation be considered a risk for HIV infection?

Hello!

Having carefully read your description of events, I am happy to tell you that there was absolutely no risk for HIV transmission in the incident as you described it.

Frottage is considered safer sex. HIV is a very fagile virus and cannot be transmitted outside the body. Heck, it's difficult enough to transmit INSIDE the human body. It's not a very efficient virus, much to the relief of the human race.

Wear a condom for penetrative anal and vaginal sex and you can avoid HIV infection. It seriously is that simple.

"Many people, especially in the gay community, turn to oral sex as a safer alternative in the age of AIDS. And with HIV rates rising, people need to remember that oral sex is safer sex. It's a reasonable alternative."
