please help with some questions
« on: March 26, 2007, 05:49:22 pm »
I recently got back from vacation in vietnam. when I was in vietnam my cousin brought me to message parlors where they give blowjobs. I was stupid enough to go with him, cause those girls does that to all customers. But my cousin said it was safe, he goes and get massage and blowjob for like since he was 17. now he is 25 already, and he told me he had blood test and everything was fine. however I am worried I might be infected, I'm going to test for hiv soon. cause when I got blowjobs from 4 different girls during my vacation, I got like a pimple near my scrotum. like inflammation, I got that b4 I went on vaction. thats why I am worried. let's say to make it worst, what if it was a cut instead of pimple. also I am uncircumcise. I have the foreskin covering my penis, don't know if that has any factors with the risk of infection with hiv. please all of you who knows about transmission help me out, thank you so much

You don't get HIV from receiving a blowjob. Saliva is NOT infectious.

In the entire history of the HIV epidemic there has never been a case of transmission to someone through his getting a blow job. It's safe to say you aren't going to make history by becoming the first.

Read our lesson on Transmission. You need to know the REAL risks for HIV. There's a link to the lesson in the WELCOME thread which opens this section.

You had no risk and there's no need for testing in relation to this incident. Also, take responsibility for your actions sexually. You chose to go to the place. Your cousin I assume wasn't holding a gun to your head. So be responsible for what you do and always do it the safer way, which means always, always using a latex condom for intercourse.

Cheers,
Andy Velez

You dont get HIV from GETTING a blow job.  And giving a blow job is only at theoretical risk at this point.  You have no worries in regards to HIV.  Just be sure to use condoms for intercourse each and every time!

but I have a pimple near my scrotum, inflammation. what if they give me oral and the cum from other guys still in their mouth? but after each guy they wash their mouth carefully thought, I seen it when they finish me. Now I am having so much anxiety about this, thought of how dumb I was. and I feel really sad and worry. I have one question, the disease KAPOSI'S SARCOMA you get if you have hiv. but how long does it start to appear? it's been a month since i encounter those. I read online it said that you get KAPOSI'S SARCOMA in the later stages of hiv, when it turn to aids. is that correct?

A KS lesion and a pimple are two very different things. I am very familiar with both and know.

You do not get HIV from a blowjob, no matter where it was or how many different people blew you.

Instead of coming up with anxious scenarios about symptoms real or imagined, read our lesson on Transmission. There's a link to it in the Welcome thread which opens this section.

You will get all the basics there. You are bothering yourself needlessly about this recent incident.

hello all, you guys are doing a great job here. I posted here before regarding my risk of unprotected blowjob, I went for a bloodtest and got my result today. it's been 37 days since my last risky encounter. I was scared because I had like inflammation near my scrotum, and I was uncircumcise etc. well they say they test my blood twice, and they did it with the newest technology blah blah. a few days earlier I got a protected blowjob from an escort, which brings back my nightmare. but I know its safe since I was wearing a condom, but I am not even out of the window period for my last risky encounter. Now I promise myself I will not have sex with anyone else other than in a mono relationship. so right now I am stoping all sexual activities and wait 13 weeks and do one last blood test so I can move on with my life. but can you guys please please tell me is 13 weeks conclusive? what percent is that in detecting antibodies by then? I can't be excited yet since its only been 37 days since my risky encounter, then another protected blowjob which worries me a lil bit also. so now im waiting for 13 weeks is that really conclusive? so I can move on with my life? thank you so much for all your helps guys, wish you guys the best in life  :)

You need to keep all your posts in your original thread please.

13 weeks is conclusive. Getting a blowjob is NOT a risk.  NO WAY NO HOW!

I've merged your threads. All of your comments should go into this one thread. Please cooperate with our rules and don't start another new thread.

Nothing has changed with regard to what you were told previously. Even considering the particular details you have been concerned about doesn't change the fact that getting a blowjob does not put you at risk for HIV transmission. Period. End of story.

As for your symptoms, that's something to discuss with your doctor.

This is not an HIV situation. Period.

Hi guys I've been seeing and reading about if hiv is really the cause of aids. I'm sure many people have read about this, so what do you guys think please give me all your opnions. They say that hiv is jsut like any other viruse, once our body produce antibodies it destroy most of it and keep it under control jsut like any other viruses. So the direction that scientists are going might be the wrong way. It might be something else that causes aids, I really can't beleive this? They say its the hiv medicines that is harming us and causing aids... Thats why there haven't been a cure yet, cause were going in the wrong direction all along, thinking hiv causes aids? They say the hiv test is just to test for antibodies that fight off the hiv virus, so you should be fine after that, you don't need to be on treatment. But I was thinking deeply about that, is it true.. if you dont start treatment and it becomes too late, then ur gone. Please give me some of your opinions all, thanks.

is it,

I need you to read our Welcome Thread and abide by the posting guidelines found there. You've been told about starting new threads before.

Not only that, but you've posted in a forum where you have no business posting. Please don't do it again.

You have been reading information from aids denialist websites. We do not allow their information to be posted here. They are responsible for people not receiving the medical care they need to live with this virus and as such, have no place on this website.

These people use outdated studies, which they twist and contort to make them appear to support their rants. Pay no attention to them.

Worse than posting in the wrong forum, you posted a link to a denialist website. That is a bannable offence here and I have deleted that post. Post another link to a denialist site and I will ban you, permanently. Got it?

ok to be honest I am sorry, I don't know I did so many wrong things. But I wonder how many people beleive this? I'm sorry Ann, but it sounds like you don't like me or upset because I am bringing this subject up? I am a newbie, and I find this aids forum has been very uesful, I always come here to read stuff that I need to know. Thats why I ask you guys, but what I was thinking was... even if hiv isnt the cause of aids, something must cause it and hopefully the medicines are helping people to live longer, not make them die faster. I really wanna hear your opnions about this, cause I myself is very worried, im gonna have a blood test done again.. I think when I tested was too soon, about 5 to 6 weeks. But my real symptoms started 3 months. But we can discuss about this in a knowlegeble way?

is it,

You do not need further testing. You ARE hiv negative. You do not have hiv. Getting a blowjob is NOT a risk for hiv infection. Not one person has EVER been infected through getting a blowjob and you will not be the first.

If you want to know more about the dangerous denialists, have a look at this website.

I've already given you my personal opinion and I do not wish to discuss the subject of denialists further.

Ann to be honest, I really love you for telling me that. But I think I have to accept reality, at the 3 months mark I am really starting to see the symptoms come up, I was having a furry white tongue, I dont know want kind of candiasa its either thrush or another type. and my tongue was burning for a few weeks min, also I have a peanut size swollen lymph node on the back of my neck. it's firm and doesnt move, but it's ok im prepare for the outcome already. learning to live with it, cause I remember when I had the blowjobs I had like a pimple on my scrotum, which I scratch and it bled, well not at the time, like a few days earlier, but I dont know if its heal by then, so I consider it a small cut.. Thanks for trying to make me happy, but I been reading alot, and I found out about the hiv=aids I really wanted to ask your opinions about it. Cause I wanna know the truth and live longer to improve my life, make a difference to the world thats all. You kinda sound harsh on me, but it's ok I guess..

Is It,

Like Ann's told you, you were not at risk of getting HIV from a blowjob (the virus just isn't transmitted that way) and so you don't have AIDS.

If you're feeling ill you should discuss it with your doctor.

is it,

If it takes a three month negative for you to accept the reality that you did NOT have a risk and do NOT have hiv, then go for it.

You need to see your doctor about your physical problems. There are other things that can affect your health other than hiv. Whatever is going on with you has NOTHING to do with hiv. You ARE hiv negative.

I hope you read the posting guidelines like you've been repeatedly asked to, because then you will have seen the following:

Anyone who continues to post excessively, questioning a conclusive negative result or no-risk situation, will be subject to a four week Time Out (a temporary ban from the Forums). The purpose of a Time Out is to encourage you to seek the face-to-face help we cannot provide on this forum.

Hi guys, I'm back for more. I got my blood test result back from my lastest exposure protected bj which is 3 months(13 weeks ago). The result is NonReactive, NO ANTIBODIES DETECTED. That is good right my friends? As you can see from my earlier posts about my vacation to Vietnam numerous unprotected bj, which scared me so much. So is 3 months conclusive? However I am still experiencing a little burning from my tongue, and it has like a white filmstrip vertically in the middle of my tongue. And I also have a pea size lump on the back of my neck. I don't know what's going on, I am still so scared. Could it be im still in my window period, or I didn't seroconvert yet even after 3 months? Please help me out guys, I really wanna get over this, and move on with my life. Thank you so much

OK, it's time to get real here. You are HIV negative. It's no surprise that you tested negative since nothing you did sexually put you at risk for transmission.

But this site is for you to sit and play mudpile with any thought that comes into your head about your (non) risks and any physical symptoms you are experiencing. You are HIV negative. Period. End of story.

We cannot diagnose or interpret your symptoms. You need to discuss them with your doctor. And if you can't let go of this unwarranted concern about HIV then go see a therapist or other professional and get some help with that.

We've done whatever we could for you. Now it's time for you to get on with your life.

hey andy, thank you so much for your reply. I really like your site, I don't want to sound rude but some ppl actually think I think its a game, please what's wrong with u? I'm genuinely asking serious questions, don't assume I think it's a game, if you have personal issue don't act it against me. It isn't a crime if you don't know a certain things, I wouldn't go get my blood test for the second time if I don't take it seriously, puhlease. Thank you for all the people who try to help and answer my questions, may god bless you all. Now I have a new perspective in life, and with aids. I will try to do anything I can in the future, to support the aids group/campaign. Once again thanks guys, and I really hope I am fine.  ;)

hi andy and everyone else, im sorry if im annoying.. but I look up the net about the pea size lump on the back of my neck, and most of them say its because of infection. I am going to the doctor this weekened to check out what it is... but if its hiv infection, it means that my body is fighting aganist it thats why I have the swollen gland right? So that means it should be producing antibodies by now? Please be friendly and reply with helpful info for me, I ain't playing any stupid games whatsoever. What could the little pea size lump be? I let my family touch and feel it, they say its normal might be some kind of pimple. but a pimple inside ur neck? I think its a swollen gland, but I also read on the net that a pea size lump is normal. Anyone has any opnions for me, thank you so much, I will go to the doctor this week. but im scared its hiv infection, is 3, 4 months good enough?  :(

The specific cause of this lump on your neck will have to be determined by your doctor.

It isn't HIV related because you don't have HIV. You were never at risk of HIV infection.

I don't know if you really expect us to say anything different than we have already. Repeatedly.

You weren't at risk for HIV. That isn't going to change.

Whatever is going on with you physically is something for you to discuss with your doctor. We can't diagnose anything here and we can't offer you any more reassurance than we already have. Really.

It's time for you to move on from this HIV thing.

Hey guys, how have you guys been? I am back because I have a question that is bothering me. If someone with HIV scratched me and I started to bleed would I catch the virus? Because that happened to me today, well the person I don't know have hiv or not. But let's assume he did, so what is my chances of catching the virus? His finger nail wasn't bleeding nor is his hand, but what if his finger nail has cum on it? But we went out for like an hour before this happen, so would the virus have died when he scratch me? When he scratch me my finger start to bleed. Please help me with this question, thank you so much.
