Might be time to give up the cock and candy!  Either that or deal with diabetes and HIV at the same time!

How about just one coke every other day?  How about diet that has no sugar?  You could also look into sugar free treats like popsicles or fudge bars.  They have a sweet taste without the sugar or calories.

I gave up all soft drinks 2 months ago and have been drinking only water.

Freudian slip aside, yes, it might be time to cut back on the sugar in your diet. Personally, I wouldn't be too keen to use sugar substitutes - ick. They're weird chemicals that your body could do without. It can take some time and patience before less sugar tastes good, but it's worth it in the long run.

HIV is certainly character-building. It's made me see all of the shallow things we cling to, like ego and vanity. Of course, I'd rather have a few more T-cells and a little less character. Randy Shilts

If you want the carbonation, try club soda with a little lime... I know, its not a coke but it really is not bad when you really want that carbonation fix.
