People who have gone through OIs

What do you guys all do for living?

I currently work at a high tech company working in custom premiere report production. But I also do art or try to do art on the side.

The reason why I ask this is because I am thinking about trying something completely new. I mean building something from scratch. Living life new. Going back to studying and starting from beggining in other fields. Would this be way too much for me to handle at my stage?

I'm on total disability due to an OI. It will be 2 years in April. I changed fields, went to college with an HIV diagnosis, no big deal, but I wasn't in need or taking medication.

hell no it is not too much follow your dreams.  I quit my job and became a freakin flight attendant after recovering from PCP and MAC.  Best decision I ever made!

I teach elementary school. Before my diagnosis I was going to school to get a second masters degree in social work. Well I got sick ended up with the aids diagnosis, went on treatment. But I have decided to start back up next term. I figure I am going to keep living and HIV has enabled me to give more to others now than ever before. I say follow your BLISS no matter what, as Joseph Campbell would say!!

I think you should follow your dreams, but still be practical about things. Make sure you can pay your bills, have a roof over your head, food to eat, and have access to healthcare and meds.
