Hey ALL!!
Sorry I have been away for a month now. I was visiting my Boyfriend and trying to get my mind off HIV for a bit. But I am back!! I was wondering if anyone can give me a short understanding of what ADAP covers (particularly in California)? Meds, tests, dr visits? I know who to contact and I have an appt to go get signed up but I can not find an easy page to show me what it will and will not cover. Thanks guys (and girls).

PS for those of you that messaged me thanks a ton!! I am ok and have just been gone for a bit I do not mean to ignore anyones messages.

Hey Cali, good to hear from you. I'm on Medicare, so I can't really give a definite answer on that. I know your ASO would be able to give you that information though (I'm assuming you're signing up through them). Good luck.

Hi CaliGuy22,
Try this link
www.dhs.ca.gov/aids/programs/care/adap
every state is different, but this should answer some questions for you

It's not an insurance program so for the most part it just covers the basics, meds and labs. If eligible that's about all you can look forward to. However, some states offer more programs than others.
