Post by: weed84 on August 12, 2008, 10:04:55 pm
Hey, I went to Mexico, Rocky Point with friends all, we ended up getting going to a disco / club / massage parlor / sex worker....

Anyways, sort I went ahead in receiving a BJ from the sex worker.. was I at risk ?

what worries me the most is that she was already with another customer prior and than me.

From this exposure I had unknown pathogen in the body ( bacterial ).. I was on Medicine for 1 month straight.

Would the medicine has any delay on my antibodies ?

should I worry about HIV 2 & Type O...

I have Groin Pain, Enlarge lymph pain in the pelvic and groin area, having pins and needle sharp pain entire body....any concerns ?

what std was I at risk for ??

could of i have gotten new strain of HIV ?

You didn't have a risk of contracting HIV from receiving a blow job.

I have a quick question:

According to some sties, I've read that people have tested negative upto 6 months and than there suddenly at AIDS point.. is this possible ? That the test may not detect if someone hits the aids period.

What are possibility that someone can go straight to AIDS and not have test pick anything...

My symptoms are countinuing of SEVERE groin lymph pain, dizzy & fatigue & lightheaded & Neutrophay of the leg, burning and sharp pins & Needle pain.

weed,

The only people with aids who have the possibility of not testing positive on the antibody tests are those who are so ill they're in hospital and at death's door after having been infected for YEARS.

And what you've read about people testing negative out to six months then suddenly having aids is nonsense.

A three month negative test is conclusive.

You didn't have a risk for hiv infection when you got your blowjob. Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you won't have a risk in the future either. Make sure you read through all three condom and lube links in my signature line so you can learn how to use them correctly.

And by the way, the reference you make in your thread title to "dirty place" is extremely offensive. People with hiv aren't dirty, it's just a damn virus, ok? Please refrain from using that sort of language here in future.

Ann,

Sorry, I did not mean to offend anyone, I ment in the terms of the place, not the people... High risk state.

Anyways, since you say no one gets HIV I will take your words..

I do have thursh behind the throat

weed,

Neither places nor people are risky. Certain ACTIVITIES are risky, such as unprotected anal or vaginal intercourse, or sharing drug injecting equipment. An unswept floor is not going to give you hiv.

If you think there is something wrong with your throat, see your doctor. It's nothing to do with hiv.

Last Question, do you think Anna that Rapid test are less accurate than the Elisa test ??

Title: Re: Oral sex in Rocky Point ( Dirty place )

weed,

A rapid test IS an ELISA. And yes, they're just as accurate as any other type of hiv antibody test. If anything, they're slightly more prone to false positive results. If you want to learn more about the different types of tests, read the Welcome Thread (http://forums.poz.com/index.php?topic=220.0) - like you're supposed to - and click on the link to our Testing Lesson.

Just for the record, you do NOT need to test over a blowjob. Blowjobs are not a risk for hiv infection.

oh ok...test at 6 or 9 week accurate ? and I can move on ?? Should I worry about Syphilis or anything ?

weed,

You can get syphilis, gonorrhea, and herpes among other things from a blowjob, but not hiv. Therefore, in your case, an hiv test now would be conclusive as long as you have not had unprotected intercourse in the past three months.

If you have concerns about other STIs, you'll have to see a doctor. For one thing this is an hiv-specific website and for another, we cannot diagnose you over the internet. You can test for most STIs ten days to two weeks after an incident, but syphilis shares a three month window period with hiv.

Hey, Anna, i know u said , u can't get HIV from the exposure I had, but what about Blurry Vision, Double Viision, less vision, headaches, light head, fatigue.... I mean, can't we not count that for something ?

Okay, I have brain fog and many other disorder after the exposure..From and based on research only infection can cause such a thing is HIV when it lowers your body T=Cell.

I assume that T-Cell are lowering and other viral infection are becoming alive, possible ?

I still have a big groin pain that isn't going away.

Yes, I know the risk is none, other std don't cause such many symptoms.

Okay, here is my story ... After getting a bj, the same day I had unprotected sex with my wife.. She and I both were tested for chlamydiae and gonorrhea, negative.

I have not said anything to her... But I am very much worried that I may of have passed the HIV to her.

I am going crazy, I just can't think I would do such a thing...I thought I was fine, since I only had BJ .... but was I wrong...

She has none stop stomach problem and aches..

What should I do ? How can I tell her about the mistake ? how do I tell others about my mistake ?

Very nervous..I can't afford to lose her... I made mistake, wasn't thinking right..

weed,

Sure, it counts for something. However, it's got absolutely NOTHING to do with the fact that some woman other than your wife sucked your cock. It's also got nothing to do with hiv. You didn't have a risk for hiv.

You need to see your doctor to get to the bottom of your symptoms. There are other things out there in the world which can cause you to feel unwell. Just because you got a blowjob doesn't mean it has anything to do with hiv. That's just guilt talking. Hiv isn't a punishment for straying outside your marriage, it's just a virus with specific modes of transmission. Nothing more, nothing less.

You're getting close to the point where we will give you a time out - you're not listening to us, you're listening to your guilt. You didn't have a risk for hiv infection. Not one person has ever been infected through having their cock sucked and you won't be the first.

It's time to let this go. See your doctor if you feel unwell. It's nothing to do with the blowjob you got.

Thank u, will work with the doc to get this sort out....What is HTLV virus are they the same as HIV ? How about HTLV 1 and Type 2... Can you get that from bj ?

sorry, no more...just answer that for me.

weed,

No, you can't get HTLV from a getting a blowjob either.

You really need to knock off googling hiv. The only thing you're suffering in relation to your illicit blowjob is guilt. The antidote to that is to see a marriage counselor or other mental health care professional. We cannot help you with that here.

You're one step closer to a time out. Do yourself a favour and turn your computer off and go spend some quality time with your wife, after making an appointment with your doctor for a check-up. Once again, whatever is going on with you - if anything actually is - has nothing to do with hiv. You haven't had a risk for hiv infection. Got it? Good.

Anyone who continues to post excessively, questioning a conclusive negative result or no-risk situation, will be subject to a four week Time Out (a temporary ban from the Forums). If you continue to post excessively after one Time Out, you may be given a second Time Out which will last eight weeks. There is no third Time Out - it is a permanent ban. The purpose of a Time Out is to encourage you to seek the face-to-face help we cannot provide on this forum.

Weed,

We've already given you all the input we possibly can. There's only so many way to say that getting a blowjob IS NOT A RISK FOR HIV INFECTION.

Whatever is going on with you has nothing to do with hiv.

As we're obviously not getting through to you, I'm giving you that time out I've warned you about. Do not attempt to create a new account to get around your time out because if you do, you will be permanently banned.
