...of a series of events that happened yesterday and today that gave me pause:

1. Received a $160 refund check from my last visit to the dentist. The out-of-pocket cost for the extraction was actually $15 instead of $175.  :D

2. I got an extra months supply today of all my HIV meds at no charge after going in to pick up a different medication.  I just filled the same prescriptions 2 weeks ago with a usual co-pay.  The pharmacy confirmed that it was not an error. :D

3.  Got another parttime consulting project assignment to keep a few more pennies in the coin clutch.  :D

4. Received a call to interview for a permanent full time position with excellent health care benefits.  :D

5. Received a mailer to become a member of the BJ Club. I will have my choice of high quality meats and other personal and business products. Turns out it is a wholesalers club and operates sort of like Costco.  ;)

6. Went to the smiley face guy mechanic for my usual oil check and was the 2nd person in line instead of 5th or 6th.  :D

7. I sit here typing this feeling quite well.   :D

If I am not mistaken, I beleive the Fortune Fairies are crunk dancing.   ;D

I thought this was really good news, until I read past "quality meats".

I just got a "new" used car. ;D Not only does it feel great to have wheels again; but I have high hopes that this one won't strand me by the highway as my previous two did 8 months ago. I've been able to get over to the ASO and do some volunteer work again ;D, and meet up with a bunch of my peeps (clients and staff) I haven't seen in a while since I was home-bound without a car.

The sun was out! there was NO rain!

I did a boat-load of work in the yard (something I love!!) mowing, power-washing 2 sides of the house. Then I got in the pool! Although the water was only 68, I was hot from working so it was all okay. I was in the pool last back in April and then all this cold and rain came, so being back outside today made it a really GREAT day.

This weekend, I'll be getting out of town on a freebie trip. I'm flying down to Atlanta for a couple days of Ryan White Quality Control training. while there I'm going to have time to be able to go out to some of the bars, meet up with a friend, get laid, and get some education. WooHoo!

of course, the  fortune fairies knew this was a good time to give me some good times. This nice time in the middle of the month is bookened by the 5 yr anniversary of the passing of one of my late partners and the 19 yr anniversary of the other partner's passing.

That's why, whether in good times or bad times, it's alway worth it to take one day at a time, to live in the moment, and to enjoy the GREAT days when they come along; because the good days give us the strength to be able to endure the bad days.

Best of luck to everyone having good days and everyone needing some good days ;)

ps although I must say that I'm still jealous Tampa. >:( ;D Free money coming back to you, free meds, a mechanic looking at your car when it's not really broken, and offers to pay you for work you could do. WooHoo!  ;D ;)
